STOP NOW! You have to remove all the metal from the walls & ceiling then all the mat from the floor and wood under it to best insulate it. Check under the floor for the rust spots then build up the floor as you want to carpet it. You will be freezing in the wilderness since you didn't move the inside metal walls ceiling etc. Check our web site for more info
crazycraig94. i have it insured through american family insurance. it been my insurance co for a long time and they were the easiest to work with. it was kinda no questions asked and i could put a price on it that i thought was fair. i insured it for 7000 dollars and it cost me 26 bucks a month. kinda crazy how cheap it is.
I was thinking why hasn't anyone cut out an area to use like a pop out camper to break up the tunnel affect of thebus. You can build an upper level with a rack and a weinch to hoist motorcycles up to the top so you wouldnt have to yank a trailer. Top area would makeit lot easier to streatch out a tarp provide some cool shade area for some outdoor chairs. Also make a rack to string up some outdoor hammocks and a poarch swing so when you are BBQing you can have a place to chill.
Nice start. We are painting our bus white to keep it cool in the summer, but we are going to do a lot of camping so keeping cool is a plus. Check out our bus for ideas you might be able to use. Search "ks1works". Keep it fun.
Dude, get rid of the rubber center walkway, thats what makes the bus have that smell, I would use laminate floor and carpet for the sleeping areas only.(look for stuff on clearance to keep the cost down) Also, use old metal bed frames to build stuff like propane tank holders and stuff like that. I'd paint the whole bus white and that way you could do anything ya want after(ie, stripes, flowers, whatever..),Oh yeah, you can call it "The Kool Bus". good luck Jim
i think the beds on 1 side should fold up and the other side fold up into a table so u can put a tv on 1 side and a couch on the other
as for the name it should be bros b4 hoes

no special license needed. once we finished the conversion it was registered as an R.V. and anyone can drive it.

Did you need to get any special license in order to drive it? I know its different for each state but what about yours... Thanks
