As much as I loved the movie, I think this opening would have made things feel a lot more epic, since it IS the last one after all. Personally I didn't think it got into the Potter spirit until I finally heard the theme music play about a half-hour/45 minutes in. This would have tied everything in more nicely, a big reminder of how much has happened over the past ten years (seven in the films, but you get the idea). What I'm trying to say is, you did something better than the highly paid pros =)
