Poor old Thom was having a bad day it seems. I imagine it would have been awkward, like having a partner in a bad mood knocking shit over and yelling at themself. Good thing the crowd seemed to handle it, cheering and such.
This is great I had 1st row Blues for this show we had to buy scalper tickets after this show sold out in minutes the day tickets went on sale. I was really stoned on mushrooms & we must have smoked 20 joints throughtout the show. Let's just say I was in a really mellow mood. I think this is the last concert I ever saw at Maple leaf Gardens.
Appreciate this, AustinBrock! I remember wanting to go to this show but not being allowed or something. Was still in school and...yeah, I can't remember. Thanks, regardless! :)
Home sick, but not feeling bad anymore! Austin, I feel like I've tumbled into the treasure trove! Hearing "How to Disappear" as a "new song"---with different lyrics--can't thank you enough, seriously. Wicked.
Radiohead concert is the best present I received thank you very much..I am an "old school' fan who saw them touring ' the Bends' and altered my universe the day OK Computer was released.
So that set list is mind boggling for me, pure workingman's RH at their OK period best. I can only beg you to try to find the film they shot at MSG 8/7/2001, staggering show, first time at the garden and they were as galvanized as we were...pleeeze..
really like this show !! even if i miss an angry version of the national anthem (best song ever !). By the way, i think i recognized the late seconds of 15 step in this very early version of how to disappear completely (jonny's stuff). someone to agree with me ? i like it pretty much, as well as planet telex. Thank you so much mister brock, you are the best !
from what i understand, thom makes the same mistake twice, gets angry, and the crowd kind of laugh at him (maybe because people think he's joking, which is not). And a few seconds later, someone throw water to his face, which he doesn't appear to enjoy....
Pre Kid A How to Disappear. The Trickster and Pearly too? Awesome show!! Toronto is such a lucky city when it comes to Radiohead. They also got to see them perform Follow Me Around in 2000.
the song was written way before 2001, but they didn't put it on a record till Kid A. Much like most of the in rainbows tracks, and even true love waits.

I got better, and I GOT STROOONG
Lurgee is definitely a keeper from Pablo Honey; I'd had no idea they'd played anything from that record on this tour.
