  • I know you say you rather the .40 S&W version but why would you suggest that version over the 9mm as i am interested in this pistol but not sure which version to probably purchase.

  • @montrealers514 from a military/personal opinion the .40 is my preferred round due to capacity to stopping power ratio and was crated by the F.B.I due to the 9mm's lack of stopping power. read up on the history of .40 S&W on Wikipedia. but from a typical standpoint and realistically 9mm is just fine plus you always area able to squeeze in 2-3 more rounds in a mag if its 9mm compaired to .40 S&W. but everyone says that you wont know the difference if you got shot by the 9 and will still kill you.

  • @ginjaninja1988

haha, that's not true, Holland is the only country in the word where airsoft is illigal.

and guess where i live? :'(

  • Umm

  • In CoD MW3 I call it the "Halo Magnum". XD

  • aaaaaaam

  • Great review !

  • im getting a p22 becuz p99 isnt as quiet with a silencer....

  • God that is one sexy gun. i am deffinitely going to get one. that is by the far the nicest looking Handgun ive seen in a long time. Does it shoot as nice as it looks?

  • @xbox360crazed Yes it does. I have medium sized hands and the stock gripe fits like a glove. I enjoyed the times i went shooting it. besides my P229 and my USP it is up there in the hall of fame for most enjoyable pistols.

  • @xbox360crazed very smooth and easy to shoot accurately, nice DA and awesome SA crisp pull. easy to go from DA setting to SA setting, just pull slide back a little and trigger is in SA. trigger reset is smooth ambi mag release is first reason why i fell in love with it. one hand decocker is a bonus. easy to take down, can use S&W SW99 mags too. I have extra SW99 mag that does feed properly. I only wish the recoil spring rod wasn't plastic. the compact version is metal.

  • @fwbrc51 congratulations sir, you have just convinced me to buy this gun lol.

  • @xbox360crazed I really think that you will like it. Make sure you get the trigger you want. I have had the compact 9mm AS trigger and now i have the full size 9mm AS trigger. I think that the next 9mm gun i'll be looking at getting will either be a PPQ or a P30. Still not sure which.

  • @fwbrc51 I think im going to get the .40 one he has. i like the trigger i dont really care that it has alot of recoil cause ill never need to be speed firing it anyways

  • i notice that the firearm does not have a technical safety switch, have you noticed this causing problems or does the decocker pretty much take care of that

  • Why doesn't it have the ambidextrous and extended slide release?

  • That's a gen 1 new gen 2 has different grips

  • @NascarAlley Are you sure you're not referring to the PPQ, which is a different gun?

  • Its really sad that Germany makes all these fantastic firearms......but no one in Germany can have them.

  • likea boss

  • how many bb's does it hold

  • Great gun, great video and now i need a great gun permit because here in Greece where the ancient word politis (citizen) has the same letters with the word oplitis (hoplite) we can own only shotguns for hunting

  • ces vao tudo si fude

  • I really don't like the looks and feel of the P99, but I do like the mag release.

  • do you keep you magazines loaded all the time?

  • @drigx1 normally i have one loaded with hollow points for home protection and sometimes load the other mag to break it in and then unload it.

  • @allhardr0ck i dont know if you know this, but if you keep it loaded all the time it will develop problems with the spring in the mag and could have a failuer to seat the round, but anyway what sbetter this or a glock?

  • @drigx1 i know i switch mags every once in a while to let the spring expand and rest but as far as the guns go i've shot glocks and they are nice i just cant go with them. the walther has a better feel, weight, look, and overall to me seems better in most aspects

  • @allhardr0ck alright cool i just wanted to make sure! and thanks for the tip ill probably get both but the p99 first

  • @drigx1 I know i do want to get a glock 27 due to its size and just to have a glock in my collection at lease. but hit me up with a video or something when you do get it, i just bought a USP .40C and a M&P15X i need to make vids of.

  • @drig I dont know about the p99 but there is always a round in my glock and there is never any problems.

  • I have a walther p99 qa 9mm love the thing and i cant understand why people say the AS is safer to carry with a round in the chamber compared to the QA who will not fire unless you do a small maybe 1/4 inch rerack compared to the AS who i hear will fire when decocked

  • @blknight52 You have the James Bond version. but as far as the QA goes once i started firing my AS, i love it dont get me wrong but the QA did start to appeal to me.

  • @allhardr0ck What do you mean the James Bond Version? only thing is Im not sure what back strap i have due to the fact i bought my gun used loland our guns look almost the same just a few things that are different. do you know if I can replace the plastic spring area?

  • @blknight52 I meant that you have the samw one that they used in a couple of the 007 movies for his main gun, but there i a guy that mentioned something about replacing it Check BT Guiderods for an all metal guide rod for your slide.

  • in mw3 f yea

  • WALTHER BITCH! !!!!!!!!!!!

  • I bought the real deal(real gun) and it is amasing. I got a supprecer and sounds like the usp. 45 from cod. sorry about the spelling

  • Thanks a lot guys for explaining, i miss understood the whole decocking thing at first

  • "you got your uuhhh... ummmm.. yeahh fucking umm...... uhhhh and also uhm... fucking watcha ma call it uhhh".....

  • WOAH thats a cook decocker

  • @solidussnake9000 *cool*

  • How much does one of those guns cost??

  • man! i got a bb gun version of this and i feel like a boss!!!! it even has that red pin to show it's cocked!!!

  • @HGRTVONE how much did that run ya man???

  • @allhardr0ck I just picked up the BB today. black friday: $18. I just found your vid. Awesome weapon. The BB is clear plastic and doesn't have any decock method. It does have the most retarded safety switch though. Whatever... It's just to train my family with before I take them to a range.

  • James Bond... that was where a lot of the popularity for it came from.

  • @Delsanar he used the ppk

  • @Nonnenberg69 Until Tomorrow Never Dies, where he switched to the P99.

  • Such a handsome gun. Sharp, like you said. I love guns that have angular slides or have facets.

  • @BlueonGoldZ Yeah i just bought a USP compact and its somewhat the same with the angular sides. something about german pistols is awsome!

  • Glock's have the same side rails, it's to reduce friction :)

  • @sherman614 Even then the slide feels smooth anyway so i dont mind it.

  • Don't worry about the slide rails. I bought a P99QA .40 in 2001 and shot the hell out of it. It never had any issues what so ever. I plan on buying a new P99AS here pretty soon. These are by far the best handguns I have ever used. My friends all swear by SIG, but I have never had to send my back for warranty repair whereas they all have.. haha. Not to mention, my P99 always seems to outshoot them as well.

  • @HatrXx78 i noticed that the decocker lever on my Sig is making a pinging sound so they might be getting lose. i probably have to send it in as a matter of fact. i have put over 5000 rounds though it but the Walther doesnt even feel like im breaking it in, its still hold up very well and still maintains the crisp slide action and fast decock action

  • super nice...

  • Dude, you're wrong. The barrel and slide IS made by Smith and Wesson, that's why it has Smith and Wesson stamped on it. They have an agreement with Walther and also have the SW99 which is identical to the P99.

  • @chrisaryee Totally incorrect. P99 is 100% German made, imported by S&W. THAT is why S&W is on the slide. The SW99 is the one made by S&W.

  • @Speedogg138 thank you for backing me up even the instructions state that aswell

  • @chrisaryee That is not true. P99s are %100 made in Germany. SW is just the US importer.

  • playing with this right now in Modern Warfare 3 and figured id check it out. i didnt really know Anything about it but it seems like a light and effective weapon id Love to get my hands on...Good Video bro..

  • @ThousandairesClub thanks man im about to do another on the USP compact i just bought keep an eye out

  • Check BT Guiderods for an all metal guide rod for your slide. I ordered one for my Walther P99 AS and it is a good upgrade.

  • @Jaxx137 does it have a stiffer spring in it or does it leghten service life???

  • This is a good gun i have the same one its very light mostly plastic and it holds and shoots 9mm and .380 bullets both

  • oddy1411

When you decock it the bullet goes back to the magazine

  • @mishoooooo1 No the bullet remains in the chamber and the magazine is not effected at all. A decocker or manual decocking lever allows the hammer to be dropped on a live cartridge without risk of discharging it, usually by blocking the hammer or retracting or covering the firing pin before releasing the sear. This eliminates the need to control the fall of the hammer.

  • @mishoooooo1 when you decock the p99/ sw99 it just sets the trigger from single action to double action... and smith and wesson does make a version with their name on it the only thing different about it is they put a more traditional slide on it.... knowing that i can't wait for them to moake their version of the pps.

  • @mishoooooo1 fail

  • what happens if you de-cock it with a bullet in the chamber?

  • @oddy1411 Nothing, the only thing that happpens is that the firing pin is "decocked" or the firing pin is placed back into the foward postion. No matter how hard you decock it i will not discharge and is the safest way to do so.

  • Has it comfortable recoil? I heard german-built guns very kiks a hand.

  • @alekhetzer Well the recoil is not bad for a .40S&W but the frame for this pistol is light so not all of the recoil is dampened by the weight of it. but all in all with its comfort hand fitting and smooth slide cycle its not bad at all and i enjoy the crispness of the pistol every shot.

  • lucky man. have a nice shot.

  • @alekhetzer the kick on firearms depends entirely on weight, and the caliber it fires. the country of origin makes no difference.

  • @MrG3SG1 thanks man, sorry for the mono-tone voice, a 13 hour shift does that but i'll try to get a better one out there again.

  • Hey man EXCELLENT video! I'm I've been looking for vids on the P99 on youtube and they are few and far between. People can keep their Glocks, my first pistol always was going to be a P99. It's nice to see these videos, I live in NY and it is a fucking NIGHTMARE to exercise your rights here. In fact, I don't buy the gun for over a month, but I already bought the mags because the gimped 10 rounders are hard to find for us in this shithole. I'm getting the 9mm though. James Bond. 'nuff said. :D

  • @Speedogg138 Thanks man, yeah i loved my P99AS. before i bought it all i found was those pussy airsoft walthers with the orange tips. but the P99 just felt and shot smoothly it also looked sexy. but being german made just topped it off. but NY is pretty strict with there handgun laws. is it just a mag capacity limit or what???

  • @allhardr0ck I WISH it was just a mag limit. Try: 6+ months to get a CLASS on HOW TO FILL OUT THE APPLICATION! ($25) After that, get 4 references that will say you are OK to have a pistol, get finger printed/Background check, and BUY A PISTOL (before the permit) that will cost $120+ in addition to the cost of the pistol. You can't TOUCH a pistol before you get your permit. It's illegal. So that's another 6+ months. THEN you must get a judge to sign for EACH pistol. 2+weeks for each! I hate NY.

  • @Speedogg138 @Speedogg138 Hey keep your head up I live in NY and I know the B.S you have to go through. I got my permit back in 2010 and just then it started taking about 2-3 months which was an improvement. Listen hey make it tough so they weed out people, so just stick w/it and good luck.

  • anyone out there know of a good holster for a PPQ 9 MM ? Thanks

  • I think it's only 5rds tested target. Who ever told you that have no ideal.

  • German police had several failures with the P99. In fact they have had 120 failures since 2005.

  • @hiphopdeebo i couldnt check that link out since it german but i heard of this but took it lightly. where at in germany are you if you dont mind me asking? i lived in berlin for 5 years.

  • @allhardr0ck Cool, I live near Hamburg. Yea I think that it is not a major problem because I guess that they've already shot a lot with each weapon, and for this 120 failures (P99Q) since 2005 is not a major thing, but somethin you should recognize If you carry this gun. In the article I've shown you they said that the weapon hasn't got any technical problems, but it is very important how you hold this pistol otherwise you cannot fire a second shot.

  • @hiphopdeebo As far as the failures i have heard this before. if you limp wrist the pistol and let your wrist bend and take the recoil the recoil spring cannot cycle the slide all the way back so it cant chamber another round properly. but i might swing by Germany this Christmas to Spangdahlem AFB since my parents are stationed over there. american brats are just not the same compaired to Germanys.

  • 10mm was made for the fbi and they decided "hey we are pussies we need a less powerful round"

  • @gruntspy44 I guess those female agents couldnt handle it. i actually dont mind the 10mm at all almost feels like the .40

  • Comes in Every Russian Happy Meal!!

  • @somethingattackedme9 In mother russian you you give a happy meal a toy

  • @somethingattackedme9 Haha old and gay.

  • @FateDesignz Army huh? what did you end up doing while you were in? but as far as the pistol goes its great except the price of the mags though. i tryed picking up one but they were going for 60 bucks

  • does this gun have any problems like jamming?

  • @hoblywobly Out of the 600 rounds i have put through this weapon none have jammed, misfired, or malfunctioned. Every weapon is gonna have problems if you dont take care of it. I clean and maintain the pistol and while i shoot it i have positive control by having a firm grip. So no, for me there hasn't been any problems like jamming. I'm sure down the road like every pistol theres gonna be a hick-up but i'm making sure that doesnt happen.

  • You paid 580 for it? Not bad, where did you get it? Was that before or after sales tax? I've only seen it in the 600-800 dollar range.

  • @f11122 Well i bought it at Tinker AFB base exchange. and it was exactly $580 since i dont have pay sales tax since i'm in the navy purchasing the weapon on base. one of the benefits of the military is no sales tax on base and the B.X or base exchange gets these weapons at a lower price since all of them are being sold to military.

  • @allhardr0ck That's awesome. You get to serve your country and get some cool perks like that. Thanks.

  • @f11122 Dude i had to stop looking at your channel...it was too epic. i almost blew a load in my pants....

  • @allhardr0ck The background is from the cover of FOK Maxiboobs comic, and the full comic is better, but it's in spanish.

  • @f11122 Thanks for the heads up....I know what i'll be looking for.

  • @f11122 i would high five you!

  • is there like different sizes of P99s I could buy,, I dont really like very small arms on my hand.

  • @wered431 yeah there is. the P99C. the compact is perfect then. the 9mm has a 10 round mag and the .40S&W has 8. but check out some youtube videos for the Walther P99C. they had one at the base exchange and i almost bought the smaller one since it too fits my hand alittle better.
