Great group (street corner). Friends of mine have told me several times Eugene is one hell of a gentleman and was still singnig the tunes live. The Jive Five piled up many great tunes in their day, and even became very notable in Soul music, I suppose because they had the talent! He (Euguene) frequented Pittsburgh many times in recent years hanging out with Vito (Salutations) and Dave Ramer.
