  • never, never ever had to "BEG" me to listen to anything by this dynamic quintette! thank you soooooo very much for the memories and the fun. tom d brick,nj

  • Great group (street corner). Friends of mine have told me several times Eugene is one hell of a gentleman and was still singnig the tunes live. The Jive Five piled up many great tunes in their day, and even became very notable in Soul music, I suppose because they had the talent! He (Euguene) frequented Pittsburgh many times in recent years hanging out with Vito (Salutations) and Dave Ramer.

  • where wer'e you in 62!, luv it

  • One of the best groups of that era, dancing with your honey. IMO by the time this came out the record buyers had kinda tired of their sound. I'd rather listen to My True Story over and over.

  • Super nice.

  • Nothing prettier than DeSoto fins and taillights from the late fifties.

  • Excellent doo wop, thanks.

  • @lakewoodil Eugene sounds the same, today! Incredible!

  • This group is incredible!!!! Eugene is a raw but pollished talent. I know that sounds funny but I hope you get my meaning.

  • klintos. Interesting to hear about a memory from someone near Central High. I grew up in the boston ed district.

  • One of the best doo wop songs ever made. It should have been a bigger hit.

  • I love his voice..I did when I was 14 too back when we rode dinosaurs to school!

  • First time hearing this record.. Has a little bit of Story Untold to it. It's great. then again anything this group did was superb. Thanks.

  • Mr. Eugene Pitt, my main man.

  • @JohnnyFlightMedic hey johnnny- thanks for giving the last name of Eugene. I been wracking my tired brain and I kept coming up with Eugene Church but I knew it wasn't him. (pretty girls-everywhere guy) Pitt Pitt yessssss

    ripple

  • magnificent DeSoto Sportsman wagon..yeah two hoods up from me , but still a boss machine. i hope the five would agree....

  • If I might reinterate, great Doo Wop ballad.

Getting to the car, beautiful classic, but they didn't have any rides like that in My old neighborhood in Detroit. 12Th at Webb.

Pimp had a beautiful Caddy though.

  • Doo Wop ballad at it's best. Great lead with solid bass. These guys are cookin. Takes me back to the "Days".

  • Sooo smooth. Slow dancing and romance.

Kool Kat 1950s style. Wow! That car is

    beautiful.

  • clean jam...and the car with those lancer hub caps!
