Hi everyone, sounds intersting that the US v. is way harder JP v. cause I had the Japanese version. I think it's true as no boss I fought had 6 lives in BK3. Quite surprised act. I played it until a point I got bored, either I was too good already or juz played too many times. Been meaning to play it at "mania", cause it became too easy on "very hard" (Hardest in the JP v).
Ugh. upon what seemed to be my 50th attempt to beat this game for the first time, I got to this level and all my hopes of beating it legit were destroyed. I still say the final boss is harder. because your timed.
Argh, I can't stand Jet. This purple armored, bald-headed terror is the worst boss in the Streets of Rage series, period. There's just no way to kill this boss without dying. You are guaranteed to fail miserably a couple of times. He should have been the final boss of this game.
a boss with 6x health? jesus christ. It sucks they can do those grab moves you can't break out of. I'm trying to beat this game on hard and 3 lives and have not yet gotten further than stage 4. if you beat the robot mr x on i think hard difficulty youll end up in level 6 where you have to save a mayor or something..if he dies you goto washington if he lives you go on to find the real mr X
Another difference I noticed between the PS3 and Genesis versions SOR3 is that on the PS3 the Rockets mown down by Adam die, whereas on the Genesis they just keep getting up and falling over again.
Streets of Rage 3 on that Playstation 3 Sega Collection seems to be ten times harder than it was on the Genesis (both versons are the Western version I add). On the Genesis I could get through it in Normal losing maybe one or two lives. But on the PS3 even in Normal it's like Mania in SOR2. "Easy" mode is, well, easy and ends at level 5. There doesn't seem to be a genuine "Normal" mode in SOR3.

one thing i have always wondered though, the 2nd stage boss in part to is named "Jet" aswell, i wonder if there the same guy, or the creators got lazy with naming this guy?, ehh fuck it,

Just finished playing this boss on Normal (havent played the game in over ten years) and just got completely obliterated. Its a really unforgiving encounter. I take it you cant do any of the suplex type moves on that boss?
As soon as you grab onto him, he gets you off of him. Only people with superhuman reflexes can pull one off, and thats IF he stays still long enough for you to grab hold of him
one good trick for that pink asshole: while punching him, stay pressing up or down and your puch sequence never finish (he will not do tha double kick at the end) and the enemy will stay being hit.. til black asshole come to annoy.. you can take even a full health bar per sequence.
I believe the glitch was intentional. SOR3 was heavily censored. To show the rockets getting mowed down by Adam's machinegun would be too violent. So they glitched it to make it look like Adam just 'disabled' them.
Unfortunately, the US version has a lot of plot gaps due to the translation. In the japanese version, things were a lot grimmer, and death realted. Some of the English dialoge just deosn't make any sense sometimes, but none-the-less it is a fantastic game! Who needs a reasonable plot anyway o.0?
As far as I know, Jet is always bald, although through debug mode, and changing the PAR files, you can give him blonde hair (or hair in general)

Mania mode in SoR2 is easier than normal mode in SoR3 in my opinion.
