I had to wonder when Grover said, "Another satisfied customer." If Mr. Johnson was a "satisfied"(sarcasm)customer, what would an UNsatisfied customer's reaction be?

I'm noticing a few interesting things here. Observe how, when given the water bed telegram, Mr. Johnson never actually denies being named Fred. And it was later indicated that that is indeed his first name. Then, years later, he is entertained by the Squirrel Nut Zippers at Birdland. The lead singer seems to know him (even referring to him as her friend Fred) and puts a hat on his head. Could this be his old friend from Buffalo, finally returning his favorite hat after all these years?

I can only hope so, esp after all the misery Fred Fat Blue Johnson has suffered, if inadvertently, at Grover's over-anxious hands. That would be a nice way to settle the Sad Affair of the Lost Hat. :)

Probably Mr. Johnson still doesn't know Grover that well which is why as soon as Grover knocked on his door, Mr. Johnson opened his door and said calmly to Grover "what is it?" In all other skits, whenever Mr. Johnson comes to a store, restaurant, bakery, etc. and sees Grover working there he says to Grover with anger "oh no, it's you!" In another skit where Grover was delivering a telegram with Elmo and knocked on Mr. Johnson's door, Mr. Johnson said "it's you, go away I'm taking a nap!"
