@ElizaChristina93 Because there was a lion cub in a cage and she didn't like it. In Oz at that time, animals were treated as equals but everyone was starting to be prejudiced against them and treating them like we do. But she loved them all and thought they should stay equals and the cage was very derogatory towards it. So she wanted to rescue it.
