Very well stated and described....Indeed PAS exists. Its dumbfounding the courts don't recognize this IF in fact they want whats" best for children". Given what I have seen by the courts in cases regarding CPS ( the ultimate PAS authorities) and within family law. I simply have to state there is no justice.
If anyone doubts the use of pas against women and children, you only have to look at Katie Tagle's transcipt, which is on the Internet. The judge called her a liar & said she was denying the father access (pas). Judge gave father the 9-month-old infant and 10 days later, both were found DEAD.
This is not an isolated case. One only has to look at credible legal, mental health, child advocacy, domestic violence sites to see what pas has been doing to women and children - further abuse & death.
Dr. Richard Gardner is considered by many in the legal and mental health field to be misogynist (he blamed women for child sexual abuse "hysteria") and pro-pedophilia (he defended child molesters). His work was not peer-reviewed, it was anecdotal. This mental health "expert" committed suicide by stabbing himself in the chest.
If you have concerns about access to children, supporting a theory that demonizes and punishes women, is not the way to go -- it's only going to hurt women and children
Lonelyangel - Funny, you use the very "syndrome" you are against - badmouthing me, rather than sticking to the issue at hand - pas. For starters, it's not just me that's against the use of pas, it's the American Bar Association, the National Council of Family and Juvenile Court Judges, the National District Attorney's Association. In fact, the National DAs Assoc says pas harms the justice system and abused children. Why? Because abusers are using pas to further harm children.
Parental Alienation is very real!!! Dr. Richard Gardner wrote a fantastic book explaining all about the Syndrome. This book covers all aspects of it from the "Science" of it to the legal and psychological. If anyone else is suffering from this condition please get the book read and research and try and change this horrible form of child abuse. We can't afford to have any more damaged children.
I am witnessing right now parental alienation in action and it is a very real phenomenon. It is also very similar to the effect that residential schools had on Native children who were taken from their parents and told visioius lies to endoctrinate them. They also said that battered-wife syndrome was pseudo-science.
PAS is junk science. Not acknowledged scientifically. Not to say parents don't badmouth the other, but this is not a syndrome and, in fact, masks child abuse. How anyone can promote such psuedo-science that can mask abuse is simply unacceptable.
@joda565 you are a sick individual who it is apparent that you are guilty of this very thing for you to excuse a parent bad mouthing another,if you don't consider that abuse or don't consider that a syndrome that is meant to alienate the child from the other parent then you need to get some help, this young girl speaks from experience not from junk science as you put it.
@joda565 Junk science? lol your foolish. Was it not the authorities whom burnt witches, burned books and if I recall the earth was flat? Look at the evidence and think for yourself.
Outstanding job on describing Parental Alienation! It's time for our Family Courts to recognize it and it's time for us to address it. Thank you for having the courage to speak on this.
WoW...I am a Mom whos children have been made to hate me via Parental Alienation Syndrome. Makes me quiver to think of what all my children might have been told. How can a person say such things when they are not true?
Parental Alienation is a much ignored cancer in our society today. THANK YOU for bringing awareness to this subject and trying to change the sickness.

@joda565 The pendulum of justice has swung to far away from women , yet again. Is it surprising.....I think not. Sad but true.
