  • I wonder what ever happened to "Nick the Nazi" and his 6-5 counter marches...

  • I'm an MSU FMB grad circa 1966. gotta love them Dawgs, and I am sure this will be ther year we have been waiting for. Wasn't last year's victory over that other school just about the most fun we ever had Go to Hell Ole Miss

  • I graduated in 1994, and the pregame show is exactly the same as it was when I was in the FMB, with the addition of "Maroon and White." And wow, what a great addition it is. State has the best alma mater I´ve ever heard, and I always thought it was a shame that we only played it at homecoming. I still remember all the words, too. Amazing song.

  • I wanna see Michigan State vs Mississippi State. Which "State" would win? MSU or MSU?

  • I`m gonna have to say MSU :P

  • @lordofwrath88 Hmm...Just from looking at game stats, my guess is that MSU would probably win.

  • For some reason, the band's rendition of Maroon and White always makes me think 'funeral dirge.' It's pretty, but depressing!

  • I was a TubaDawg from 95-97. Miss the band so much. I Was RedDawg.

    Go State!!!

  • *tears too* Yeah I miss it tremendously as well.

  • *tear* I miss being in the band... I just wish they'd get rid of Madelon. I think those who would remember that song are now dead.

  • I was there 98-01 and probably one of the best memories I have in my life was 99 when the SEC banned the football team from doing the Dawg Pound Rock in the field. Dr. Chesnutt quickly implemented it into the pregame show for us for the LSU game. You heard the crowd get quiet and all the sudden they just started screaming... and it didnt end the entire pregame. Ive never heard the crowd cheer like that for the band before, and it was simply amazing.

  • I think the last did that my freshman year ('00). It was good while it lasted...

  • Nope. 1999 was the only year we did it from what I remember. Im Eric Perry, and I was a trombone player. What did you play?

  • I played alto saxophone. My freshman year we did it. I'm pretty sure that was the last year.

  • Awesome!!!
