Both the Liverpool fans and Juvent fans were disgraceful this day they both caused the deaths of those 39 people and for what a game of football but I also blame the people for putting up a 'nutual' corner for fans and having let the final play in that shithole of a stadium. A hooligan doesn't charge with the intention of killing another fan...neither Heysel nor Hillsborough was an intentional event. Structural inadequacy and a culture of rambunctious behavior is to be blamed, not murderous Englishmen.
Were all the English clubs responsible for this stuff? No, it was Maggie Thatcher willing to get rid of Liverpool and Everton (the leading clubs at the time), we all know, the north of England, the city of Liverpool had to disappear.
The English crowd at Heizel were a mixture of many English football cunts. The Belgian authorities packed them side by side with the poor Italians. The police came in after hours on horses. Juventus agreed to play and win that cup. Yet only English clubs paid.
So many people and authorities being responsible for all this manslughter, no-one ever paid for all this, not the cunts, not the Belgians, not both the clubs (only Liverpool, of course), but why did all the other English clubs have to pay for things they weren't absolutely part of???

I would like to say something serious. I am Italian, and I know England and the many good qualities and positive aspects of the Britishness, so I won't say things like "English Animals". But there is a sort of social degradation in the English society that is at the base of the violent phenomenon such as hooliganism that should be a subject of deepest reflection by everybody. I invite all you englishmen to look inside of yourselves and try to understand. Greetings from an Italian appreciator.

There is reason to blame many factors. 1. EUFA, Liverpool pleaded with them to change the venue because it was shite. 2. Liverpool fans, I am a Liverpool fan and there is no doubt that there where trouble caused by Liverpool fans. 3. Italian fans, In 84 in rome they were stabbing our fans throwing shit at us. the same happened at Heysel and it was a retaliation that caused this. Italian fans are the fucking animals look what happened with united and roma and us and napoli YNWA 39 and 96 <3
@dawd29 OK mate, I apologise for generalising all Italian football fans as the same, They are passionate but the Ultra side of things make me sick. I hate voilence in football, it upsets me. Things like Heysel and Hillsborough are tragedies that should have never happened. Again mate, sorry.
"...I came across a photograph of a section of the crowd on the terraces. It shows a section of the Liverpool support, most of whom appear to be minding their own business. Some two yards from the fencing, on the Liverpool side, is a young man wearing an Arsenal shirt...I'm not suggesting the young man was a source of trouble but I ask you, what genuine supporter would attend a European Cup final involving Liverpool wearing an Arsenal shirt?"
I cannot, will not, ever accept that genuine LFC fans were to blame for the events of Heysel. For a club who had by then been playing European football for 20 years and whose fans had not caused trouble before, why would they suddenly kick off on that particular night? The club itself had even implored with UEFA to change the venue, but this fell on deaf ears.
Yes, they were killed in a crush. And that crush ultimately was charged by LFC fans, of course I accept that. But to say that causing someone's death is not a murder is completely wrong, legally it is at worst manslaughter which is not the same as murder at all. Which is why no murder charges were proferred at the time. I don't get the reference to Hillsborough?
What a lie. I was there. The italians were throwing missiles, spitting and one guy even had a gun. The Liverpool fans were provoked. No Liverpool fan turned up expecting to cause trouble or kill anyone! May all the dead rest in peace. They were caught up in a mindless confrontation between a minority of idiots on BOTH SIDES.
@stuzzer2885 Far from defending the Italians in any case, please look at the couple at 1.24...if there was some "provoker", he was certainly not in that side of the stadium.

I watched this live on telly at the time. In my opinion, this was a classic case of shooting yourself in the foot. The Juve supports started the riot (FACT). Then ran in a franzied panic when counter charged. The counter charge was neccessary as the LFC fans where about to be pinned up against a partition fence. The result was tradgic but the blame lies soley with the Juve supports. Justice what Justice. violence begets violence. The question is wether you can cope with the result.
I wish I could agree. I talked to people who have been in the crowd of section x/y - they dind't know what they had done - not even that they noticed the deads. Hard to believe, but so it seems. Terry is to blame, but he is not a murderer. But if so - his blind idiot god forgives everything.
The collapsing of the wall and the dead people weren't broadcasted live on tv. I think they all started sending pictures at 8.05 o`clock. The deads were carried away, section Z was "clean". But I wonder why never says a word, for example, about the italian "fan" in section m who had a gun and was shooting a policeman down. Simply a reaction?
Heysel was a dreadful tragedy, & yes some 'Pool fans present on the night must take some responsibility for what happened, BUT - nobody murdered anybody. FACT. If you read Nick Hornby's Fever Pitch you will see the way he described the charging that was prevalent in English grounds at the time which was more posturning than anything else, & nobody could have predicted that a wall would collapse. Rather than slagging each other, people should take a moment, 24 years on, to hope the 39 RIP
Nobody murdered anybody? Ok, they didn't shoot them, they didn't stub them, but causing someone's death is not a murder?
Posturing or no posturing, this caused their death.
And what is that shit about the wall collapsing? Did any wall collapse in Hillsborough? That's called A HUMAN CRUSH if i am correct. People DIE EVEN STANDING. NOTHING HAS TO COLLAPSE.
Should someone have predicted the collapse, or shouldn't never have charged anyway?
@canItouch By the way, did you watch the whole documentary to the end? CONTRARY TO WAS ASSUMED THEN -AND STILL ASSUMED TODAY- PEOPLE DIDN'T DIE BECAUSE THE WALL COLLAPSED. THEY SUFFOCATED OR TRUMPLED TO DEATH...
corrupt final..been shown the ref said juve must win..fair enough people died but in football terms it was a corrupt way to end the game... my nan died last week so why coudlnt they of stopped united winning the league...
Speak from you mouth and not from your asshole. Juve that year were miles better than Liverpool yet you still managed to fuck their glory night not to mention murder 39 innocent spectators.
They do to me mate, what I am saying is that what happened is awful, yes there were some convictions for manslaughter, but there was no murder, and most of the people who comment below don't care a damn about the 39 - they are just using their tragic deaths to score points
'the stadium was bad' big fucking deal, when chelsea played away this season in the group stages in romania the steps leading up to the stadium weren't even attached to the seating, were there any dead? No!
The match had to be played because the crowd would have gone into fighting if the game was canceled. The way they described it here in the intro makes it sound like they had no consideration. they were thinking about the people who were alive.
A number of people need to take responsibility for this tragedy, namely UEFA for allowing the dilapidated Heysel stadium to be used. Inadequate segregation of fans in section Z. The Liverpool hooligans are the prime culprits however. There were 27 arrests on suspicion of manslaughter. The majority were from Merseyside. Some of them had previous convictions for football-related violence. In 1989, fourteen Liverpool fans were given 3-year sentences for involuntary manslaughter.
I'm italian and I'm a Juventus supporter. I cant' never forget that damn night, I was just 8 years but I can remember all. The english animals that do this tragedy have to pay... no justice no forget!
Animals didn't 'do' this tragedy. Generally they're not allowed inside stadia, apart from guide dogs for the blind. And it would be difficult to pay anyway, as animals generally do not handle money. Their world operates in a different way to the human world.
Well, my little italian friend, if I were you, I would be more careful not to insult people in future. People are people, not animals, OK? So don't call my 'humoris' stupid, pal. (It's 'humour' by the way.)
I can't really remember much about what he said now.. it was over a year ago.. he was taking drugs and smoking at the age of 12, he sold his dog for drugs, he'd been arrested a few times for various things..And how he regrets doing all that now.
Worth watching the whole of this excellent programme. It manages to avoid sensationalism, hysteria and easy blame, while fully respecting those who tragically died in the accident. Recommended.
'Manslaughter' is accidental murder. The life guard was saying that he was only trying to defend a child Liverpool supporter from Juventus fans, and he and other Liverpool fans ran towards those fans. He did not know that those fans would run towards other Juventus fans and kill them by crushing them.
Why are some of you trying to place blame and call Liverpool fans "murderers" ?? The over hyped Juve supporters threw bricks along with other objects over the fencing which seperated both supporter's and into the Liverpool end, the ittalian police done nothing, look at them on this video, Let me put this to you all who are critisizing Liverpool fans... If bricks and other objects was hitting YOU and YOUR FANS and YOUR FAMILY and the police done nothing to stop them, what would you do?
Full marks to Terry Wilson in the video. Fans rushing each other was common in those days and on the vast majority of cases it didn't lead to anyone's death. In this case the ground was woefully inadequate. At least Terry has changed his life around and is helping others not to make the same mistakes. (I'm not a Liverpool fan by the way).
Oh do shut up you self pitying scouse bastards. Heysel, Hillsborough, its never your fault, is it? Always somebody else to blame you bunch of fucking animals.
my father is from liverpool and my family know what happened because half of them were there!
The standby police let too many people because it was such an important game and as it got competitive because there were so many people the stadium started collapsing under the weight. As i said in another comment my mums b. friend n her bst friends boyfriend died in this match. they were in the first row and had no chance. it was trajic, noones fault!
What are you talking about? The Liverpool fans ripped down the fence and then charged at the Juventus fans, they ran away in their thousands and the wall collapsed. How on earth is this not the fault of Liverpool fans?
Nobody forced them to rip the fence down, and nobody forced them to charge at the Juventus fans.
Stop making excuses, have a bit of respect for the dead and start taking some responsibility!!!!
You can see Juventus fans ripping down fences too then running back and crushing fans both sets of hooligans were 2 blame in my opinion, plus the stadium was a health hazard
sexycaitt, u said some of your close friends of your mother died, however im certain 39 fans died, 34 italians, and a handful of french and belgium supporters and 1 irishman, unless your friends wernt from liverpool or england id be wrong (sry if i am). And for the record, liverpool fans did cause this, unless juventus fans wanted to charge themselves.
my mum's best friend and her best friends boyfriend were killed at this match and also my father (who my mother didn't know at the time) was on his way to it but heard on the radio tht this woz happening,
there were english fans from loads of other clubs that rushed the juve fans, not just liverpool fans. Technically liverpool fans did'nt murder anyone the shitty stadium did. so you can only call liverpool fans for manslaughter.
Yeah thats right mate. Liverpool fans did nothing. It was the stadium that killed them. It was the stadium that ripped down a fence and ran at a the Juve supporters. I never knew that football stadiums had arms and legs, and were capable of running at people. It wasnt Liverpool at all, it was Chelsea. Those people wearing red and running at supporters wernt Liverpool fans, they were Chelsea fans pretending to be Liverpool fans. Yeah, it sounds really plausable that mate.

you would know aye!!!YOUR CITY HAS THE BIGGEST MURDER RATE IN THE WORLD,YOUR POLICE ARE CORRUPT..AND YOUR CALLING LIVERPOOLIANS MURDERES..MATE SORT YOUR OWN COUNTRY AND PEOPLE OUT BEFORE YOU EVEN CONSIDER SLAMING ANY OF MY NORTHERN COUNTERPARTS!!! UP THE IRONS
so is your mom ....you freaking animal ..Liverpool fans are murderers weather your fucking channel like it or not....since when bbc doing stuff in a fox news style ..blind propaganda ...this video is crap ....liverpool should be banned for ever ...and so is their inhuman fans ..liverfool!!
today, the match would be called off.
if not by UEFA,would be by the fans.

And what is that shit about the wall collapsing? Did any wall collapse in Hillsborough? That's called A HUMAN CRUSH if i am correct. People DIE EVEN STANDING. NOTHING HAS TO COLLAPSE.
Should someone have predicted the collapse, or shouldn't never have charged anyway?
gushjones 1 year ago
@canItouch By the way, did you watch the whole documentary to the end? CONTRARY TO WAS ASSUMED THEN -AND STILL ASSUMED TODAY- PEOPLE DIDN'T DIE BECAUSE THE WALL COLLAPSED. THEY SUFFOCATED OR TRUMPLED TO DEATH...
gushjones 1 year ago
corrupt final..been shown the ref said juve must win..fair enough people died but in football terms it was a corrupt way to end the game... my nan died last week so why coudlnt they of stopped united winning the league...

No!
mjhproductions01 2 years ago
The match had to be played because the crowd would have gone into fighting if the game was canceled. The way they described it here in the intro makes it sound like they had no consideration. they were thinking about the people who were alive.
sapotico13 2 years ago
A number of people need to take responsibility for this tragedy, namely UEFA for allowing the dilapidated Heysel stadium to be used. Inadequate segregation of fans in section Z. The Liverpool hooligans are the prime culprits however. There were 27 arrests on suspicion of manslaughter. The majority were from Merseyside. Some of them had previous convictions for football-related violence. In 1989, fourteen Liverpool fans were given 3-year sentences for involuntary manslaughter.
Disgraceful !

I'm italian and I'm a Juventus supporter. I cant' never forget that damn night, I was just 8 years but I can remember all. The english animals that do this tragedy have to pay... no justice no forget!

not english, scouse. scum of the earth.
Worselnyc 2 years ago
Animals didn't 'do' this tragedy. Generally they're not allowed inside stadia, apart from guide dogs for the blind. And it would be difficult to pay anyway, as animals generally do not handle money. Their world operates in a different way to the human world.

Do you think that you' re funny? 39 people were killed, your humoris is so stupid...
DavideITA77 2 years ago

Recommended.
zxychesatz349 2 years ago 2
whats man slaughting like the guy said the life guard
Bora199420 2 years ago
'Manslaughter' is accidental murder. The life guard was saying that he was only trying to defend a child Liverpool supporter from Juventus fans, and he and other Liverpool fans ran towards those fans. He did not know that those fans would run towards other Juventus fans and kill them by crushing them.
zxychesatz349 2 years ago
yeah thanks for the information

(I'm not a Liverpool fan by the way).

and btw the liverpool fans DID NOT cause this!
my father is from liverpool and my family know what happened because half of them were there!
The standby police let too many people because it was such an important game and as it got competitive because there were so many people the stadium started collapsing under the weight. As i said in another comment my mums b. friend n her bst friends boyfriend died in this match. they were in the first row and had no chance. it was trajic, noones fault!
XxsexycaittxX 3 years ago
What are you talking about? The Liverpool fans ripped down the fence and then charged at the Juventus fans, they ran away in their thousands and the wall collapsed. How on earth is this not the fault of Liverpool fans?
Nobody forced them to rip the fence down, and nobody forced them to charge at the Juventus fans.
Stop making excuses, have a bit of respect for the dead and start taking some responsibility!!!!
Murderes
mongopongolongo 3 years ago 4
You can see Juventus fans ripping down fences too then running back and crushing fans both sets of hooligans were 2 blame in my opinion, plus the stadium was a health hazard

sexycaitt, u said some of your close friends of your mother died, however im certain 39 fans died, 34 italians, and a handful of french and belgium supporters and 1 irishman, unless your friends wernt from liverpool or england id be wrong (sry if i am). And for the record, liverpool fans did cause this, unless juventus fans wanted to charge themselves.

MURDERING KOPITE SCUMBAGS !!!
mongopongolongo 3 years ago 2
there were english fans from loads of other clubs that rushed the juve fans, not just liverpool fans. Technically liverpool fans did'nt murder anyone the shitty stadium did. so you can only call liverpool fans for manslaughter.
Soprano12121 3 years ago
Yeah thats right mate. Liverpool fans did nothing. It was the stadium that killed them. It was the stadium that ripped down a fence and ran at a the Juve supporters. I never knew that football stadiums had arms and legs, and were capable of running at people. It wasnt Liverpool at all, it was Chelsea. Those people wearing red and running at supporters wernt Liverpool fans, they were Chelsea fans pretending to be Liverpool fans. Yeah, it sounds really plausable that mate.
mongopongolongo 3 years ago 3
Yeah we know your being sarcastic and all but why are Chelsea always mentioned when heysel is talked about!? what do they have to do with it?
