  • I believe human power.

    Love it.

  • good time

  • Pretty big consert it was.

  • This is the song i like most!! when i was lil kids,my dad always sing this song for me b4 i sleep..love u dad..til we meet again in next life :)

  • The Band @ 2:11 looks like Country Joe and The FISH Country Joe McDonald sitting in front/center... Band at 1:26 looks vaguely familiar but... (?)

  • Takes me back to the best time in my life! Thanks!

  • thanks on Iron Butterfly. not sue on Vanilla Fudge. i dont see where they were ever 5 members and i cant make out Carmine Appice in the pic. i thought the guy sitting looked like Chris Hilliman but it is not the Byrds or Flying Burrito Bros....?

  • who is the band at 1:26? and 2:11?

  • @giblet1967 I don´t know, sorry!

I looked at wikipedia and then i googled the artists.

  • @giblet1967 1:26 is definitely Iron Butterfly and (I think) 2:11 is Vanilla Fudge

  • @Screenman5 iron butterfy fully agree, but the ones at 2;11 are Country Joe and the fish

  • @giblet1967 1:26 rolling stones, 2:11the hippie band

  • @giblet1967 At 2:11 is a picture of some later iteration of Country Joe and The Fish. That's Country Joe McDonald seated and Barry Melton standing, both original members. I don't recognize the other guys in the picture. At 1:26 is a band that doesn't seem to be on the lineup for any of the days. Perhaps x21x12x2012 can say.

  • @giblet1967 The posters below are right, it's an early iteration of Iron Butterfly. But although they were scheduled to play at Woodstock they did not.

  • @giblet1967 The first photo is Iron Butterfly. The second looks like Country Joe and the fish.

  • who is the band at 1:26?

  • i remember i heard this song on an airplane many years ago.. and i remember wanting to find out what song it was but never found it :( but then today i heard it again and i was smart enough to google it and here i am :)

  • Scott McKenzie was at the Monterey Festival, not in Woodstock.

  • I head this song first time when I was 11 in 1968 in Phnom Penh Cambodia. It always bring back beautiful memory. This classic will never die .

  • my all time favorite song makes mee cry too ...ananimegirl>>>>>and Im a 50 yr young guy lol.....

  • Scott McKenzie did not appear at Woodstock. He appeared at the Monterey International Pop Festival, in June, 1967. "If You're Going to San Francisco" was the theme song for this festival, the first of its kind anywhere.

  • San Franciscos Anthem

  • nah, I'm 16

  • this song makes me cry.

don't know why, but it does..

  • @AnAnimeGirl perhaps because those innocent days are gone???

  • @AnAnimeGirl Probably because we think back to what could have been instead of what we got, more greed, unemployment, stress, an economy in free-fall. What happened? Maybe it is because we know how things could have been having lived through the sixties but l wouldn't have traded living in any other time. I think we were so fortunate to have lived through the sixties. Peace

  • i m going to san francisco...next week...13 days...

  • @woodhausen ....maybe you`ll meet gentle people with flowers in their hair ;)

  • @x21x12x2012x i will also have flowers in my hair...peace!

  • @woodhausen :) have a nice trip, love & peace for you too!

  • @woodhausen Did you enjoy or are you enjoing San Francisco? I like the place very much too. In fact I when I was there I thought of this song, and hummed it while I was walking around the Union Square with my wife and daughter in 1986.

  • Scott McKenzie...this song San Francisco so great...

  • @TheMong1963 I have liked this song ever since i was a child.

  • 50 and 60 year olds are smoking pot again. Survey says. Shit I never stopped....lol
