@hentaiseeker look out your window and at the ground... if you have approximately 6 inches between your car and the line, your most likely in the center with enough space for you to open your door (sydney parking spots might be more narrow then where you guys live)

I always hate that the usual vantage point for these videos is either outside the car or the guys face from the passenger side. I think a driving lesson should be shot from behind the driver's seat so we can see the road, panel and his hands. I never back into parking spots I just look for spaces to pull through. I hate backing out. But, I am too courteous to people behind me to back in. Angled parking don't even bother pulling through it's easier just to back out in that situation. Always back into my driveway in the winter though.

just started driving this week(5 speed jetta) and I found my own way to back in, The video shows what I learned in driving school, buutt..

This is easier if your desired space is on the right side of the road/parking lot lane, but as long as you have 10 seconds without cars to bug you, left works too. Also you need about 1.2-1.5 the length of your vehicle(width of a suburban side street for average car)

1 - approach on the side of the parking space a few feet out

2 - as soon as your front wheels pass the near edge of your space, turn the steering wheel away from the space hard and fast. depending of your cars turning radius(feel it out), when you stop just short of the other side of street, your tail end is set perfectly to back in.

3- back in. You of course have to straighten out 30 degrees or so, but if you overshot any you can use it to compensate. Perfect center/angle every time.

If you have trouble backing into a spot which has empty spaces on both sides, you should not drive a vehicle. It's as simple as that...Paraller parking is relatively easy as well but I can see that some people might have trouble with it

One thing that is not possible: learning how to back into a spot. You need to be at an angle from a spot, then adjust as you back into one. I learned how to by figuring it out myself while my dad sat there >.>
