my favorite clapton song by far. so moving-as many times as I have heard it, to this day, I can't listen to it without crying. this version is new to me, and I really liked it. there at the end, I think the man himself was getting choked up. could hear it when he began singing the line about "when my hands no longer play..."
Again CLapton should just stay Clapton and not fill the stage trying to be nice. Live is unfair, Clapton is Clapton and that's just the way it is. He can pretend all he wants that he's sharing, but people want to see him sing and play. Period. An orchastra is not necessary, otherwise he would be a filler guitarist and we would never have heard of him. Hendrix didn't play with 50 other people! Didn't need to.
