In the old testament the Levites whose jib it was to minister to God, and the people were taken care of by the people. In twentieth century Christianity, we seem to think this is wrong despite numerous biblical passages that say otherwise. We would do well to study more, and accuse less lest we deceive ourselves ad others
@44yavetnot every teacher, minister etc. Who asks for money is a false prophet.it costs to produce books, make CDs, rent buildings and concert halls, pay support staff, and then cover your own living expenses it's cruel to say they should be content with freewill offer ins only, especially when the vast majority of believers are not in the right place, heart wise, to even give a proper freewill offering that comes from the heart of God instead of their own stony one.
@44yavet no disrespect to you, I don't know you after all, but we spend money on the things that we think will benefit us: clothes, food, college tuition etc. As we should. Why do we AKWAYS feel that ministers should be content with the spare change out of our pockets? If we are honest, and look around, what most consider free will offerings is just one dollar.
I AM SO SICK OF SO CALLED HOLY MEN AND WOMEN OF GOD CAPITALIZING ON THE GOSPEL. FREELY YOU HAVE RECEIVED FREELY GIVE (Matthew 10:8). Into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house. And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again. And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give... (Luke 10:5-7). Ministers are suppose to be content with freewill offering. They are not to capitalize on the gospel.
Thank you Lord...for this message...
