These comments make me sick to my stomach. Who is anyone to judge him or his family? Underage drinking is not the issue here. The issue is the fact that a police officer used a taser of an intoxicated person. I'm not a rocket scientist or anything but i'm pretty sure you shouldn't shoot volts of electricity through an intoxicated person. The situation should've been handled differently.

Police are not paid to fight people If the police got there and this kid was out of control, what should they have done? The family says they should not have used a taser. Ok, so now the cops fight the kid. Then when the cops crack him a few times, the family shouts police brutality and want to sue. If the cops got hurt fighting their son, how would they feel if the cops sued them? I don't think they'd like that very much. Almost always, cops are in a no-win situation.

Have you ever read a continuum of force? Deadly force is justified whenever a perp attacks an officer and that officer feels his or her safety is threatened.

And despite this they chose to use a less lethal option, a taser. It is unfortunate that due to the alcohol and drugs in this kid's system, the taser was fatal for him.

That is not the cops fault. It is the kid's fault for getting drunk and high, and then picking fights and attacking officers.
