i tried to play the other versions that were on snes (downloaded japanese roms) but the game play seems boring compared to this one.....kind of like the extra artwork in the inbetween scenes....too bad snes didnt have that detail

disgustingly good game. The terrible voice acting and terrible anime cut scenes (always reminded me of Record of Lodoss War) coupled with strangely compelling gameplay and the incredible soundtrack makes for one of my favorite experiences in gaming history. Ever. Glad I own a hard copy of it.

Terrible anime cut scenes? I don't think so. It's just that the style Hudson used is... old. Honestly, that's why I love PCE. PCE cutscenes just beautiful IMHO. Well, more like the fact they wanted to recreate a moving picture using an image editor similar to Paint :) I like how 'raw' it is.
