The original version of this from The David Frost Show had John, Paul and George singing live to an instrumental backing track (the rock version b-side) as was stipulated by musicians' union rules. You just dumped the song with vocals over what was a one-of-a-kind performance...and ruined it. If you're going to post Beatles videos...know your Beatles.

Lennon made that guitar distorted as possible so that no one at any radio station playing with their EQ knobs would be able to eliminate it. I remember the single sounded so distorted that to my young ears it sounded like fingernails on a chalk board & just made my skin crawl. The needle on my turntable wanted to jump out of its groove. This definitely wasn't Pat Boone & it wasn't like anything anybody'd heard before. This was heavy metal B4 there was heavy metal. Hope the CD's distorted too.

you have to give it up for ringo. sure, he's never been the most technically proficient drummer....but he was part of one of the most influential bands ever. so, to those who give Ringo crap because he can't bust out solos like John Bonham or Neil Peart...remember this. he was a Beatle. he INFLUENCED and INSPIRED your drum gods to even want to pick up a pair of sticks.

Aqui hay dos videos de Revolution, uno en el que usan el track del single, y otro que esta semi-en vivo, porque usan el track del single instrumentado con voces en vivo. Eso explica el grito de Paul en vez de ser John como en el single ya que sí John hacia el grito no alcanzaria a agarrar aire suficiente para la primera parte del primer verso. Aparte la version en vivo es un hibrido de la lenta y la rapida con los vocales de fondo de la lenta adaptados a la rapida.

@velazquez11 Las guitarras siempre sonarán iguales. En realidad esa distorsión la lograron saturando la mesa de grabación en los estudios Abbey Road. Los Beatles ya habían usado antes pedales fuzz, pero este tono en particular lo lograron con la saturación de la mesa de grabación.

@velazquez11 Creo que es un ampli de válvulas pequeño con una Les Paul (la que toca Harrison, por ejemplo) a toda castaña. Y para ser más exactos, diría que la pastilla es la de los agudos. Desde luego no es la de media caja de Lennon, que se acoplaría.
