Some context: When released (l1977) there still existed an old school 'blue' i.e. swore a lot, racist, sexist, misogynist type of comedian in Britain. Fortunately it was dying out, but persisted in working men's clubs in northern England. The jokes were of the 'There was this fucking Paki..." variety - i.e. prejudice dressed up as humour.
