I usually play both, but I generally play by how I would be in that situation. If I think it's stupid to risk a whole squad for one colonist (for example) I won't do it, even if the "good" choice is to save him.

I'm normally a Paragon, but I do keep have a Renegade Vanguard and a Renegade Tech/Soldier. Mainly good, but sometimes it's awesome to be an asshole, especially because you can execute people.

The first play through I play as myself, and what options I would honestly pick. And it turns out that most of the time I become a Good Character. I may complete the game or just start over from whatever point and just purposely go bad on the second run through. And that seems like the majority of people must be nice in real life, even though lot's and lot's of people would be horrible and wouldn't care about anything or anyone.(From most of the people I've heard....) lololol, I sound lika nerd.
