Becasue of a socialist run government in fact millions have suffered to death because their country's economic situation is dangerously low and weak. And you don't even need a big government to take care of you, you simply don't need a big government. Because big government will have their say in everything you do in other words your freedom will be lost and will be almost impossilbe to regain, did you even know that people who came here and fought to stay here were trying to get away from that?
...now Bush has let the Conservatives down a lot. He issued two stimulus packages during his last term (which of course is a socialist decision). Fact is Conservatives don't like to let the government to overspend, instead lower our taxes, because when government gets their hands out of your pockets and their nose our of your business, our economy increases, it goes up like it always has when you have these principles in order. Just look at all the other nations that have fallen drastically...
...and make a living for yourself. Nobody is stopping you from becomming a billionaire, you don't have to have "special" abilities. You learn abilites and you learn skills and you turn those skills and abilities into a living for yourself. Nearly all democrats=socialists, and that's the problem in todays society here in the US. We've got morons in office like Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, and Harry Reid (and now of course Obama) and you wonder why our economy is in the toilet...
It's all about change. We need to change right? The question is, change what? Can anyone here define what Obama means by "change"?
Guys, are you familiar with the US Consitutution? You know, the Constitution which gives our rights by limiting govenrment, not expanding it and that's what Obama wants is a bigger (much bigger) government. The way I see it is, everyone is born equal. Everyone has a right in this country to go and work...
I'm a proud American, I think there is more worth CONSERVING about America than their is worth throwing out.

okay mccain and palin should be a shame of all the flip floping and the horrible lying my teleproter is broke palin. McBush/Kill,Kill,Kill,Drill,drill,drill 08
You're willing to vote for a guy who has a DOCUMENTED RECORD of voting to raise taxes CONSISTENTLY.
3 years in the senate, and 2 of them were spent running for the Presidency. He's never managed a large budget, and has no military record (Both in service or command).
What exactly has Obama DONE? Oh yeah, he was a beneficiary of the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac collapse. And um....he was on the Ellen show.
McCain's speeches where he gets called every time by the fact checkers can hardly be called a "documented record".
Honestly, if you're a McCain/Palin supporter taxes and experience are two topics you want to stay well clear of discussing. As is Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac considering McCain's campaign managers ties to them.
haha, are you kidding me? Obama was the 2nd largest recipient of funds from Fannie/Freddie. You can look at every dollar of contributions that McCain recieves on the web, the same CANNOT be said about Obama.
You're also wrong about his voting record. Votes like 229: HR 5970, & 118: HR 4297 where McCain voted to extend tax breaks for small businesses and the middle class, Obama proceeded to vote no.
Palin is the only one w/ exec. experience, and McCain has over 2 decades. Obama has none
I do not like that he profited from those banks. One of the only things I don't like about him.
Most small businesses will fall under Obama's tax cut. McCain only offers cuts to the large one. Look up the numbers.
Palin was governor of one of the least populated states. Biden has just as much experience as McCain. Obama is way smarter than Palin. Perhaps you don't like his views, but just like I admit the Cheney is smart, you should admit Obama is smart. I just think Cheney is evil.
Obama's tax cuts may apply to some small businesses, but NOT those that are creating jobs. The small businesses that are creating 80% of the new jobs will fit under his tax INCREASES. Those that fall under his cuts are those that work from home selling cosmetics, doing freelance, etc.
Cutting large corporate taxes create more jobs, as they always take their cuts and put them back into the company. Increasing their taxes will cause them to cut jobs, or even move out of the country.
No, small businesses are small. Therefore almost all of them will fit under Obama's tax cut. Large businesses are the ones that are creating the jobs, and reaping huge profits, even in these hard times. We need to take some money for them and use it for things in the world that need to be done. How do you propose getting the money for staying in Iraq? You want the US in 15 trillion dollars debt?
haha, small business is a category that generally fits to all businesses with 100 employees or less. Any business with 5-10 employees is pretty easily making $250,000 a year. Obama's plan WILL affect them adversely.
As for your topic change, here's a simple solution: Cut the fat. There's PLENTY of spending the gov't does that is useless. Obama looks to increase that, McCain looks to cut it out.
But again, why would you care, you don't pay taxes.
I'm going to do some research on the first thing you said. As for my topic change, Obama's plan is to cut just as much as he's spending. There are tons of govt. programs that aren't doing anything.
If you're cutting just as much as you're spending, that's going nowhere; it stays stagnant. I highly doubt anyone wants to stay stagnant in THIS kind of economy.
? He's getting rid of bad and/or old programs that we don't need anymore or don't work, and helping use that extra money to pay off our debt and to use for things we really need it for, like the war in Afghanistan.

Blacks think liberals care about redistribution of wealth, but the aformentioned ones in it for the money just line the pockets of their political allies. Dumb people just belive things such as... Do you believe that Bush has lead us down a Fascist path - combining Big Corporations with religion and pushing us into military spending, nationalism, media control, cronyism and corruption?
No on most counts. Supporting a military is a constitutional obligation of our government. Media control? CNN, CBS, NBC, ABC, MSNBC...are all outspoken Bush opponents. Which big corporations have merged with religion? Cronyism and corruption aren't specific to fascism, unless you think every president is fascist. Clinton was particularly guilty of these, as will be Obama if elected. Your thought on Obama's love of Marxism?
What do you do for a living? What is your income level? I own a greenhouse and truckfarm, but my husband's job brings in our real living, he's a union employee - makes close to $60K. I donate to the poor when I have it but the weather's been so bad the last two years, there's not much extra.

I don't think helping the poor is a bad idea, but doing so isn't a legitimate function of government. I have every right to give money to a homeless guy, but should someone have the right to put a gun to my head, take my money, hand it to the homeless guy, and call it charity? What if that someone is the government? I regularly give to charities and individuals in need, but government, by nature, is not charitable.
I don't think the gov should even be giving to churches to give to the poor - cuz that crosses church/state lines. But the gov is already taking your money, right? Would it be ok if we could designate what we wanted the gov to spend our money on that they are already taking from us? Cuz right now we can't do that.
I'm against that, as well. In fact, I don't think there should be any tax exemptions for churches, since that invites government into assessing which religions are legitimate. I'm a strict Constitutionalist (libertarian) and don't think even the people should determine how government money is spent, since that would result in pure democracy, which is basically mob rule. Government has already overstepped its bounds, sadly with the blessing of the masses.
finally I found your center. I hate the gov overall. it's gone bonkers, starting unnecessary wars, etc. Bailing out banks - but then we would have utter chaos or that's what we are told. Oklahoma has one of the highest poverty rates in the USA for kids going to bed hungry. I think we rank between 44 and 47th in the country. Most of the kids are rural too. Stopping poverty is one of those Jesus values isn't it?
Obama does not love Marxism. He feels that America should have some slightly socialist reforms. Those reforms are to move us forward from the awful state which your president George Bush has put us in. In no way does Obama want a Communist government.
In his first book, Obama speaks extensively of his attraction to Marxism. And he's proffered the Global Poverty Act, which is blatantly Marxist on an even grander scale than Marx could have imagined. You should look into this. And what's with the "your president" reference to Bush? It does nothing to negate the facts about Obama, but exposes you as someone who can't see past party affiliation.
are you a ron paul advocate then? He makes good sense but right now I think it will take 20 years to bring this country under control -unless we have worse catastrophe than 9/11 - I don't think either candidate can fix our country in 8 years.
Hate to say it, since it will endlessly irk the Paulbots, but I think Ron Paul is a bit of a nut. I guess I'm a libertarian hawk, which seems to be a growing offshoot of the party. I support the war on terror, but resent the hell out of Bush for doubling the size of a government I distrusted when it was half its current size. We keep feeding the scary dinosaur, then wondering how it got so big.
Not true. I want government to have some control over industry, not total. Companies are not responsible, because all they care about is making money. That's the point of a company. If there aren't regulations on pollution, company's will destroy the natural environment. The banking crisis right now is a perfect example of not enough regulation. The banks did anything they wanted, they did things irrisponsibly, and now there's a crisis.
Government is incapable of partial control. And the current banking crisis is actually a direct result of Congress' regularion. Congress insisted loans be made available to everyone, whether they had the means to honor the terms or not. So people bought homes they couldn't afford, defaulted, and now both the banks and the defaulted homeowners are crying to the government for a bailout.
EVERY company wants to make money, even those hip ads on TV that tell you to go green. There's a profit in it. They're banking on snot-nosed punks like you! And please DO NOT preach to us about the banking crisis. You think the banks WANTED to loan money to people that couldn't pay it back? They all woke up one day and had a spectaculary horrible idea. Regulation hurts industry; my company has to fight with PSCs just to change a price point, while cable companies do not. Some reg is OK.
Also this is a anonymous type of platform - so your info can't be traced - I didn't ask specifics and I did give you my info first as a gesture of good faith. This isn't your job where you are programmed to keep your payscale a secret so that other employees don't get po'd. I'd never ask a person that face to face but this is just a conversation. I've heard that if everyone knew what all other humans made - there would be a change in the level of haves/have nots.
You've convinced me you're not a troll! I'm a former journalist and now work in the more lucrative world of upscale picture framing. I earn about $40K, which probably would piss off some of my coworkers. I'm also writing my second novel, though the first one hasn't made enough money for me to feel comfortable calling myself a professional novelist. That's more of a passion than a source of income.
Gees, go look at my account, you will see the old man, the birds - we lost the gees and my husband's mistress - his tiller. I am going to bed. I hate the current admin - I didn't like clinton either, not sure I've liked much but now I pay too much attention which only makes my disgust worse. I am personally conservative, a feminist, my beliefs don't include churches but does include god. I want my gov back - that one that never really existed even when this nation started.
