I do have 1 7/8 AR Headers an catless mids to put on an then it goes into the shop for the tranny build, 3600 stall and custom grind blower cam. i think it will make a difference. yea i got a lil jup of the line then she past at like 4th gear an then i was starting to catch her again. yea the GTO has a much higher top end. and idk i think it woud do the same thing to an LS2 as i have beat a few LS2s with my small amount of mods. i should have a few videos of racing LS2s up on here.
it all depends on how they drive it. if they just left it in auto you would walk it every time, if they put it in sport mode from a dig they kill off the line an would be a damn good race, if they do the shifting from a roll it would be a damn good race but just in sport mode from a roll you should jump out on it. so it all depends on how they were driving it when you raced them.

So where are your videos of your G8 and what is it an 08, 09? v6, GT or GXP. O also look up your G8 on car an drive an see what they tell you about your sport mode in your car let me know what they say as well.

No difference on a straight line race.

you really just dont get it. and since you told me to i did even go out to the car and got the owners manual and it states right in there that sport mode is more aggressive shifting and pushes the car right to red line compared to leaving it in drive. also states that the car will show a decrease in the lag time to down shift when you step on the gas. also my car is tuned to different shift points so me going out an doing that would not prove anything im taking about stock.
o come on now, the goat is stock for know and a 4 speed auto an the G8 is a 6 speed auto. if the road was longer i would have went back past top end but she caught me at 115 right there an put a half car on me from a roll i crush it. an as you can hear i didnt hook up very well haha

Yeah, only the G8 GXP is available with a 6 speed manual. This G8 GT in the video has a 6 speed auto with a manual mode.

From a dig i dont really see a diff its just from a roll. There is much less of a lag between the down shif when you go WOT

Sport mode on the G8 is to hold revs on deceleration through turns. It has no effect in a drag.
