He didn't actually know that his father was going to die, he thought someone else was. And IMO i think that he thought Zod (or whoever was threatening him, I forgot his name) was bluffing. Or maybe he just wanted to spend more time with all of his family members before any of them died, idk.
I really doubt that he new that his father was going to die, but if he did that would of been an a-hole move because lana is a bitch who doesn't need to have another life sacrificed so she can live.

she totally didn't die, wasn't the milk truck obvious? martha kent is the one leaving smallville, she moved to DC, and chloe is still alive, just knocked out from the energy it takes to save a life and lana, well i have no idea why she did that, but she's totally not dead. just ranting cuz every1 thinks lana's dead (too bad, lol jk)

These scenes are all very sad and the video would have been too, if you lost the violins. Bad song choice but otherwise a pretty good job.
