1) Put in the 40,000-60,00 troops the general requested and finish the job off with force

2) Pull all the troops out, salvage what you can, and hope for the best

3) Put in fewer troops then requested, meaning even less likely of a chance of the US winning, and leading to even more troops deaths.

Choices 1 and 2 are correct choices. Number 3 is completely wrong and it is the one Obama picked.
