My mother saw that I was left and right handed. Like Chopin she said to me. Nowedays I understand what she meant. Perhaps this is the secret of our Chopin...
This piece is so beautiful. Chopin was such a good composer, the right hand is more often than not so simple but so beautiful and magical at the same time and the bass or left hand is quite more complicated and gives the pieces such a good tone. I'm currently learning/playing this piece and i absolutely love it!
My favorite Nocturne, and one of my favorite classical music pieces, period. This is a very nice version--not played too slow or softly like some versions I know--but I don't see it indicated who the pianist is. Anyone know?
Gracias a este Nocturno, es que yo me he comprado hace algunos años el piano. No sería agradable, que Chopin saliera de su tumba y escuchara, las discusiones entre quienes opinan por aqui. Por favor: disfrutemos de la música. Gracias!
You idiot. If you have no idea of what classical music is, I'm not the one who's gonna teach you - after all, it seems impossible. Get out of here before someone kicks your butt out.
Oh, really. Then do me a favor - create a nocturne like that one and give it to us, so we can listen and see that you're the greatest on this planet. Good luck, asshole.
DrStrange trolling is not the same as giving opinions. Every human being has the right to show the dark side of things. And I think many people with a good taste in music would agree this sucks. Trolling is an act done to start arguments and chaos, I simply shared my opinion, you can start the argument. By the way I don't hate classical, I simply enjoy hearing how anger over takes good thinking. You should be able to enjoy the music no matter what.
Okay, I know I'm off topic here, but Hungarian Rhapsody No.2 is really a pain to play. It's a beautiful, astonishing piece of art, but still a pain to play. I'm working on it this period and my hands are aching all day...
Yeah, it's no joke. I haven't worked on it, but seriously it's no joke. Well Liszt has some really difficult pieces (some of the most difficult I've ever heard-played) but honestly his works are amazing.
When I first worked on "Pathetique" I was really disappointed in myself and didn't touch the piano for a whole week. You see, I could somehow manage the technique but those dynamics with that technique was really hard to keep up. Then I finally decided to work seriously. It's a breathtaking piece for both player and listener.
@oros123456 People exagerate obviously. I mean. these guys Chopin, Dvorak, Mozart etc., their ridiculous compositions are nowhere near Lady Gaga and all the other purely commercial and mentally retarded "artists" agressing our ears nowadays...I am really sad for you, you know.
i really love it, as well. what might he have felt, while playing it for the first time. then he might have wrote down these emotions. and we, gratefully, are able to listen into his feelings. and then... from this tragety to bright ending, like "everything will be well - no worrys..."

By far my favorite nocturne. To put the cherry on top, he wrote this at 17!

aún no existen palabras que puedan describir por lo menos aproximadamente la grandeza musical de Frédéric Chopin.

The lamenting melody does not stand out clear enough from the left hand broken chords in this playing.

Actually, to make myself more clear, I find this recording sounds sort of "cloudy".

Absolutely love the interpretation. Personally, though, it needs a bit more contrast, but, otherwise it's very nice!

ok...go play Hungarian Rhapsody No.2 by Liszt if it's so damn easy to learn.
Or for that matter Danse Macabre
If you don't like classical music why troll on videos that you despise.
Ignorance can be cured...Stupidity is forever, my friend...sorry to give you the bad news.
If you had any idea how complicated music composition truly is you would shit your pants trying to compose.
