Man Tyne Daly has gone down hill in the looks department over the years. And get a load of those styles Yikes. And finally, I love Angela Lansbury--I wish she was still on tv.
i agree with u rhyfeddu. you can tell this really meant alot to her, i think this is the real sharon gless we are seeing there. the one who is shy and quiet.
god love her all the same, she absolutely deserved it.
Boring Speech? It was quiet and deliberate and not snazzy and short like they expect now, but I thought what she had to say was very moving (esp. about her Dad in the hospital). And it was "expected" because she was nothing short of BRILLIANT during Christine's rock bottom period. Maybe not an exciting underdog win, but merit won out for a change. She so deserved it that year.
Third! Plus Mary Beth's pregnancy during this season didn't give Tyne much opportunity to really showcase herself as a frontrunner (not that she's not of course). But Chris's alcoholism storyline was very deserving.
Fantastic,,,,,she was very humble...

It was her win the year before that was far more dramatic and surprising. This was expected. What a boring speech!
