Can't wait. Just ordered an SL with a Force gruppo and other goodies like a 3T carbon bar. Should be here some time next week. Until then...I'll just have to lust over it on the internet!
Are the carbon dropouts really necessary? Last season during a race a small stick got kicked up and thrown into my cassette and when I shifted into my 11 the chain skipped over on to the drop out and shredded it. I’ve had the same thing happen on my personal Mountain bike with alloy dropouts, and although cosmetically it did not look great the bike was fine. A $3500 frame trashed to save 20 grams, when the bike already needed 120 grams extra added to it to make UCI regulations.
The 2010 CR1 Comp is one I am going to get tomorrow, if they have my size in stock, really great bike, and so light, and i love the yellow, black and white combo colors. However, your title says 2009, and you talk about the 2010. Sall oversight?
@adm458nelson Yes, the title is 2009 because it was filmed at Interbike 2009 (the bike show where they show off next year's models). So, in 2010 we will be showing the 2011 models, etc.
Ah, I see now. Yesterday, Memorial Day, I bought the new 2010 CR1 Comp. Love the bike, I had been searching for several months for just the right one, finally yours came through. This is my 2nd new bike this year, having just bought a 2009 model Trek 520, which I use to commute. I love this one too, but I wish it had some faster gearing. The Scott is for fun and fitness. Thanks for your reply. BTW, I only got back into riding this year after an absence of about 12-15 years.
