The Egyptian army on the other hand was a top down army. Many of the soldiers were expendable and they knew it. When things went poorly they didn't continue to fight. Once things stated to go badly their units fell apart. When it comes to cannibalizing captured equipment Israel was very adept. Israel commandeered many rifles and small arms as well as anti aircraft guns. Destroyed or captured tanks were loaded up and taken back to be refurbished and integrated into the Israeli forces.

@bogylord8 و في الحقيقة عندما ذكرتَ عن قوة الجيش المصري بحثتُ في الغوغل عن ترتيب العالمي في قوة الجيوش و لم أجد مصر في قائمة الجيوش أكثر تمويلا و لكني وجدتها في قائمة أكفئ الجيوش و هذا شئ عظيم في دولة قتصادها مثل إقتصاد مصر و أنا على يقين بأن مصر تستطيع أن تقضي على إسرائيل في يومٍ واحد و لكنَ إسرائيل سيساعدها الغرب و أما مصر فهل سيساعدها العرب في حال لم يتآمرو عليها أصلا

Before the war Saadat did offer peace with Israel with no diplomatic relations
in condition of an Israeli withdrawal from all 1967 occupied Arab lands. Not only from Sinai.
Israel also wanted to keep part of Sinai to itself.
But it was the U.S secretary of state Henry Kissinger who forced U.S. will on both sides.
Egypt gained the saving of its 3rd army, American weaponry, and all of Sinai.

The Sinai Peninsula is on Egyptian hands today, unlike before the 1973 war.
It doesn't mean that Egypt won that war.
When the war ended, almost all of Sinai was in Israeli hands.
Iwo-Jima was in Japanese control before the American invasion of the island as it is now.
Is it mean that Japan won the battle of Iwo-Jima ?

Israel had taken 1000's of prisoners and where marching on Cairo how Egypt could have won? The peace deal came many years after the war and had virtually nothing to do with it. The Egyptian army on the other hand was a top down army. Many of the soldiers were expendable and they knew it. When things went poorly they didn't continue to fight. Once things stated to go badly their units fell apart. When it comes to cannibalizing captured equipment Israel was very adept. Israel commandeered many rifles and small arms as well as anti aircraft guns. Destroyed or captured tanks were loaded up and taken back to be refurbished and integrated into the Israeli forces.

Egypt stared with large forces and supplies with a well thought out plan to move forward. They did have an initial victory but weren't able to hold on to it. They were push on to the defensive and never recovered enough to go on the offensive again. They were saved by the Russians from a humiliating defeat and the total destruction of our Egyptian army.

Egypts weak army had 5 times more dead than Israel. Israel had 28 times more prisoners from Egypt. They Arabs attacked with 5 times more soldiers. Sadat asked for a cease-fire, not Israel. Sadat had to come to the winner Israel, not Israel to Egypt and he had to ask for peace. Golda told him off and asked him to sign a paper to be never a naughty boy again. Golda told him you can get your sand tray back after 10 years if you are a good boy and he was, so he got his sand tray back.

How exactly Egypt did won the war? Egypt got thrashed and begged for mercy. How did Egypt show the world it can take on Israel, when it simply lost badly? Israel had taken 1000's of prisoners and where marching on Cairo how Egypt could have won? The peace deal came many years after the war and had virtually nothing to do with it. Israelis nice and gives back your land and you use that as an opportunity to say you won the war?

First, need to learn how to write english properly. Secondly, you have to understand that the Oct. 73 war was the first war when egyptian soldiers showed their true courage. It was the first time when both sides fought face to face. It ended with egyptian victory. We will never know what would have happened if the usa didn't step in and supported israel.

فى سيناء كانت الفكرة مصرية(الفريق سعد الشاذلى) وكان السلاح الروسى لمواجهة السلاح الامريكى وهو مبرر لجيش فقد قوته فى 67 اما الروس فسحبوا قواتهم فى 4 و5 اكتوبر ومعهم معداتهم المتقدمة فى هذا الوقت والنصر ملك للجيش وليس ملكا للحاكم وليس من حقهم سرقة النصر ولا من حقكك تهوينه
