Hi I have a similar model and the drum spins faster than in should usually after filling. could this be the belt tension

Hello, I have a similar model and when washing the motor turns the drum faster than it should, for example one it has finished filling the first tumble to follow is really fast and the drum bangs into the side of the machine. could this be the belt tension ? Please write back

I think the old mechanical dials are so much more reliable than the electronic LCD type bush button panels ....ive had a hotpoint machine for 12 years and its never needed any repair ....yet i have a friend whos had 4 (electronic display panel) machines in the space of 2 years!
