  • That is a deep shuttlebay! I would love to assemble one of those. Now we need the Reliant at that scale (or bigger).

  • is this a kit or made from scratch ? epic build btw

  • Holy shit...!! Epic work Erik...!!!! That is pure win.

  • make a 10 foot one

then you can make a car out of it

  • just incredible!

  • @smsno1 Thank you!

  • I have no quibbles about this... it looks great. To think a fan did this... awesome.

  • @jtpencils Lol! Thanks for watching!

  • Does anyone know about the Polar Lights model kit? Do the lights come with that model kit?

  • Beautiful. I can not stay much more than that.

  • @dsellers2008 Thank you very much!

  • 4 ft? This looks like the Polar Lights model, which is about 34 inches. Or is this the DeBoer model?

  • @finalfrontier1701 Yes...4 foot long. This is NOT a Polar Lights. This was actually custom built by a prop fan.

    Thanks!

  • @erik814u2 I don't mean to seem rude, but if this is not the Polar Lights model, then the model builder went out of their way to replicate the detail of the PL 1/350, even the inaccuracies. The planetary sensor dome outcroppings aren't properly shaped, the impulse engines dont look right (though that may be the angle), the saucer grid is too deep, and the trees in the arboretum, officers lounge, and the base are identical, & that looks like the DLM aftermarket shuttlebay. Still well done though.

  • @finalfrontier1701 that's because this is the Polar Lights Enterprise.! The same casting mistakes on this model are the same on the PL model. Deboers does not have that issue. It's a nice make no matter what tho!

  • @casualtrainer On this, I agree! :)

  • OUTSTANDING MODEL!

  • The lighting on the back of the engines, is it lit with an LED inside the model, with the light shining diffusely through the plastic?

  • This is great in every possible way ...but I must nitpick (and it could just be the way the camera's setting is for lighting) ...the sensor dish/array light is way too bright - as are severl other lights: the warp core top sky-light and the running lights on the outside of the nacelles. The lighting on the dish and warp skylight should be very sedate and subtle (view some of the builders of the "polar lights" kits videos).

  • @fletchergatsby thanks for your input. However, I did not build this. If I knew the builder, I would pass on your comments. Thanks.

  • @erik814u2 ... Erik - sure thing ...not trying to be anal or nitpicky at all ...it's an amazing build. Absolutely beautiful. So how did you come upon owning it - or did you do the video portion?

  • Why no comercial model of Enterprise have the spotlight trully iluminating the area of code NCC-1701-A of upper source section, like in the film???

The only one that iluminate it was a trick, AAND NOT TRUE, since a region inside, in shape f the spot area, was not protect (sealed with black) from light, and so allow the interior lighting penetrate the plastic., creating a glowing light from inside to outside in the area of NCC-1701-A.

  • @jerryaltman There are lighting kits for this (the polar lights) model that will do what you are saying.

  • @jerryaltman You're talking about the Raytheon method of lighting a model. The original studio model, however, was not lit in this fasion, but with lights that were external of the model rather than contained within it.

  • I hope they destroy the Abrams enterprise in the new movie and replace it with this one =)

  • @bosshog4ever313 I can't deny that the original 1701-A is a beast, but I'm not optimistic about Abrams opting for a revert for the next design, but who knows.

  • wow ur clock is real loud!

  • @LeighAndrew Lol! I never noticed that!

  • That's so well done!!!!!!

  • @LegoFreakPictures Thanks!

  • Damn!!!!!!!! good job

  • Hey what's up? I was wondering if you could tell me where you got this model ship from? I know there's another video of this ship but the lights don't blink as cool as this one. Thanks!

  • @cheechyayo3 This was custom built by someone who is no longer doing them. Sorry!

  • Hey whats up? I was wondering if you could tell me where you got this model ship? there's another video of this ship but the lights on the main hull don't blink as fast and its not as cool. thanks!

  • OUTSTANDING!

  • @rl10261 Thanks!!

  • Wow awsome ship. I wish the kit I built nearly 20 years ago would have had the lights with it. Is this kit made by Ertile and do the light come with or do they come separate?

  • Thank you!! The kit is by Bandai with no light. All lights were installed separately.

  • That's the best internal lighting job I've seen yet.

  • Thank you very much!

  • OMG that is amazing. Was astonished up until 0:53 when the lights turned on then my jaws dropped. I am sooooo jealous . . . AMAZING job. I bow to your greatness

  • LOL! Thank you so much for the comment and the view. This took me forever to build! A LOT of patience!

  • meh I've seen better.. LOL..No that one is the best ..Now do the enterprise D, and you got yourself an instant buyer !!

  • Lol. I have the model for the Enterprise-D, but am haveing a hard time finding the lights.

  • I'm almost speechless! That's outstanding model work! the aztek pattern is beautiful. My hats off to you.

  • Thank you VERY much for the comment and for viewing!
