  • what's the name of song?

  • @enciaflor

    requiem for a dream

  • I miss this show soooooo much it was the best Sci-Fi TV series ever. Why better then any Star Trek show.

  • Great video fit for such a great sci-fi it deserves more recognition that what it gets

  • weeks...

  • 3 months later... I can't get enough! :)

The best scene: 1:57 to 2:49. The sound of Ivanovas words, the fire in Sheridans eyes and at the end: "we fight back, we fight back hard!" grrrr! The song can be annoying, but here it is perfect. Love that scene!

  • Hey man great tribute really loved it. B5 is the gold standard when it comes to epic sci fi. I agree with you about B5 and DS9 both being phenomenal series but I have B5 edging out DS9 though. Just barely :P

  • B5 was a epic series!

  • Seems like President Clark reminds me of former President Bush

  • @PajamaRojo

Riiiight...because Bush was a vice president who assassinated the president to rise to power?

    Idiot.

  • @RedwoodTheElf No but Johnson probably had Kennedy bumped off.

  • This is best short-video about Babylon 5 what i saw.

Oh my god, so many nostalgic emotions!

    Excelent work!

    Thank you!

  • B5 was the best Sci i series ever made. Yes I saw Flash Gordan best for its time (SFX) and was a child for Star Trek(SFX) best for it's time and all that followed but B5 did not have the best SFX nor the best sets or actors but did have a storyline and a believeable science. I truly believe that it is.. the best I've seen...Thank you.

  • B5 was a true epic, and this is a fittting tribute. Many thanks.

  • i think i seen this 11 time over the last 16 years and i still love it. what a show.

  • @BlastEMFF I luv it toooo :D we all do

  • Sheridan for president, but...wait, has anybody seen his birth certificate? s he even earthling? :)

  • Thank You, @Ruccrols, for an amazing video.

This is the video that inspired me a couple of years ago to purchase all five seasons of Babylon 5 and re-watch them. I watch them all the way through once a year.

  • star trek stole the idea for DS9 from B5.

straz tried to sell the networks on the idea but no takers so he found another outlet.

  • Is that a Hyperion class at 3:12 on the left side that you barely see?

  • @michaelhviper The bigger ones with the Rotation-Sections are Battleships, the smaller ones are Cruisers. Don't know how they named the ship-classes. I can't remember if they named the ship-classes. Maybe in german it is a little different.

  • I'd love to see a cut where Captain Picard joins in and says "The line must be drawn HERE! THIS FAR NO FARTHER!!!, AND I WILL MAKE THEM PAY FOR WHAT THEY'VE DONE!!!!"

  • Could someone tell me please,in which season all this happens?

    That would be great ;)

  • @Pandenhir Season 1 (last episode) until season 4 , although you can see the wheels turning in earlier episodes, if you pay attention. :)

    Hope this helps

  • william clark is a trator space the bastard.

  • i think the music went well with the vid

  • once again requiem for a dream....

  • Comment removed

  • strange how its kinda goes damp squib after the 4th season

  • @jesustonight Didn't help that Warner Brothers told the producer that he wasn't getting the 5th season so he tried to wrap up the last two season into one, and when TNT decided to take up B5 for the last season, they were like, "Cool...now, what am I going to do now?"

  • Thumbs down for using Requiem for a Tower.

  • Amazing video and timing to the music, though the music is a bit loud in places and we can't hear speech... But I love it anyway, beautiful tribute ♥

  • One of the things that made this show really interesting was that they battled corruption of the government for what was right.

  • @michaelhviper Clarke was under Morteins control who was inturn working for the Shadows, a great program.

  • @EnigmaNZ1 Morden, Mr Morden.

  • I'm so sad, that te station is destroyed in the end. :( The best csifi series from the 90's. Respect to the Babylon 5, love every minutes of the series. ^ ^

  • Amazing collecton buddy you do honor to Babylon 5

  • music is too loud!

  • for some reason, i felt like crying when i saw b5 get get destroyed at the end of the series

  • It's sad to think that we will probably never get Starfuries, Omega Destroyers or O'Neil class Stations in my lifetime. NASA hurry your asses up already.

  • dude that was awsome

  • @gasdfw5 I think you mean the 2240s.

  • Im confused, i was lead onto here by a friend who told me to look for severed dreams`s battle, and when i saw this im just wondering, why did they blew b5 up?

  • @OfficialFearClan For that, you will have to ask your friend, since they directed you to watch it (and would know the series well).

  • I love G'kar - his words of wisdom are so enlightening, and finish off this program perfectly.

Fantastic from Start to Finish - R.I.P Babylon 5

  • @TownElder

Yes, but alas, they also remind us that the one who actually spoke these words is no longer among us, and that indeed it is his words and memory that linger after he is gone....

  • @ohauss Gone or not, when G'kar speaks, I get goosebumps.

  • Gosh it makes me sad when they destroy Babylon 5, I almost cry when I get to that part.

  • At the end when B5 is about to be destroyed, they still have Starfurrys, I mean Its 20 years after the time of season 4 and they still have Starfurrys, don't get me wrong I Iike Starfurrys, but aren't they supposed to be retired by now?

  • @michaelhviper f16s went into production 35years ago and are still used today.

  • @SCARREDMIND Hey I like f 16s.

  • The reason that they renegaded from the Earth Alliance is because the Earth Alliance tried to takeover b5s security and not to mention the fact that Clark bombed civilians on the Mars colony!

  • Echt gutes Video. Gehört in meine Favoriten. Auch wenn es die Musik überall gibt: Kein anderes Lied hat diese Intensität des Gefühls, welches dieses Lied nun einmal auslöst.

Warum nur gibt es keine Auszeichnungen für dieses Video? Ich fände es sehr interessant.

  • What a fucking awesome video!!!

  • Babylon 5 trumps DS9 in my opinion. Anyone who disagres, I would just like to point out that B5 never put G'Kar in drag.

  • At 3:00 min lacks even the white star of the cockpit?

    LOL: D

  • I wonder how Clint Mansell feels about his song being Youtube Fodder.

  • Nice one, but why did they renegade them selves from the earth alliance!?

  • @MrConnorStu Because Vice President Clark was in league with the shadows, and killed President Santiago. Then declared martial law, and disbanded the legislative branch of the government taking complete control for himself. Thats why they broke away, after the break off and initial battle that followed, they did not press militarily against the earth alliance until the mass murders of civilians, then they pressed the war against earth.

  • Beautiful. Well done.

  • Thank you very much!

  • I meant to ask, what music is this? I like it.

  • @JovianJeff

    Requiem for a Dream

  • @Ruccrols

    Lux Aeterna is the song....

Requiem for a dream was just the movie it was used.

  • @Ruccrols The worst fucking music totally overdone on youtube.

  • @Ruccrols I'm sorry but the music is waaaaay too loud. I can't hear the words that JMS wrote and the actors are speaking. Please cut the music back to about half current volume

    .

  • That was very well done, beautiful. Thank you for making it and showing it.

  • why not those hyperion class cruiser attack agaist babylon 5

  • Nice, but you you should've included the scene of Clark being sworn in after Earth Force One exploded, plus a little more Nightwatch stuff leading up to B5 breaking away.

  • The best use of an over used piece of music...

    Kudos....Kudos...

  • Cool video but at moments I felt the music overwhelmed the speech.

  • Why? It's not so horribly outdated that you still should be able to watch it and enjoy it. If anything it seems to have gained relevance in a post 9-11 age.

  • @sedeyus About the time they defined a homeland security department, this seemed all a little too familiar, when they were toying around with Patriot Act 2 that was really festive and the less said about Fox News, the better.

  • No need to, but they could remaster all the cgi.

  • Oh noes..... Requiem for a dream *again*

    lol

<3 B5 forever! And *PLEASE* no remakes. Not of this most amazing of awesome shows ever.

  • @JulyForToday Yeah, it's everywhere - I'm surprised they don't use this Kronos Quartet RFAD song to sell breakfast cereal or handbags. "The intestinal dangers of LOW FIBER!!!"

Anyway, I agree completely: no, can't has remake. Greatest...show...EVER. I consider it political education.

  • The ascension of the ordinary man

  • U know they should remake babylon 5 like the way they remade battlestar galactica. Dude it would be aweomse to see the vorlons vs the borg or something because i think that species 8472 is so similar to the vorlon because of there atmosphere conditions and everything.

  • thats the dumbest thing ever!

  • No, I don't know because:

    1) I don't know you and I don't care.

    2) I don't watch sci-fi upside down.

    3) My name is not dude.

How would you like it if I call you 'dirty baby'?

    -r78

  • B5 kicks DS9's ass, not least because it came first, and DS9 took half its ideas.

  • You wish.

  • Well no, I don't wish for it, it happened. Even the guy above has pointed out the theft of the biomechanical ships from B5 for Species 8472.

  • Except Species 8472 were never in DS9.

  • Nope, so are you saying Voyager isn't a ST series? I think you're probably intelligent enough to know that just mentioning DS9 a couple of times doesn't mean I specifically said 'no other ST shows took ideas from B5'...^^

  • For one, you said DS9, not Star Trek in general.

  • I also didn't say 'only DS9'. Your description talks a lot about DS9, hence me referring to it. Makes sense.

  • Star Trek TNG, episode 68, Tin Man, Original Air Date May 6, 1990 contained a biomechanical ship.

Babylon 5: The Gathering aired in 1993.

  • The difference is Tin Man sucked.

  • @YiddoBobbins

Species 8472 was from Voyager, which came out after B5.

  • @OsirisLord Thanks for proving my point - Star Trek happily taking ideas from B5.

  • @YiddoBobbins I know this is a bit later but I would just like to point out that it is not really so much of a theft. They are already working on biomechanical technology in the real world. Just not quite as advanced. I bet the idea was not a new one when it came to star trek either. For example, the first person who came up with the idea of a cyborg... That person came up with an idea of biomechanical technology.

  • awesome :)

  • great vid mate :) some great scenes captured from what is a great show. so much to the story of babylon 5 u could make 1000 vids and still want to add more to tell the story

  • Nice tribute and very good quality. 5 stars!

  • classic

  • babylon 5 is the best got also startrek tng voy ds9 and season 1 of the tos and the movies, And Babylon 5 remains the Best

  • good shit

  • Very well done I LOVE Babylon 5!

  • Very well done. That was amazing.

  • Nicely done! Really captures some of the best moments of B5

  • Yeah, it's kind of frightening when you think about it: this show was made in the early 1990s, but compare and contrast the President Clark-run ISN from Babylon 5 to real-world modern day Fox News. The similarities are frightening.

  • yup....but you have it wrong...

  • Finally a story epic enough to deserve Lux Aeterna as a backing track.

  • I agree. Its overused to the point of exhaustion in so many videos, but here, it actually matches the scope of the video. Sheridan's "It's time we took the war to Clark" speech, combined with Lux Aeterna? Epic.

  • Which version of Lux Aeterna is it? Spotify has a lot of 'em...

  • I love this tv show along it's spin-off Crusade..along with DS9. they are the top 3,with Babylon 5.if you put Babylon 5 in a realistic setting like today Bush will be Pres.Clark ally of the shadows.

  • you have missed at least part of the point..."What do you want?" is not a question that Bush asked or would ask...fascist thought exists at both ends of the spectrum....

  • "what do you want?" is never asked by Clark, only answered by him, so it fits. the shadows ask that particular question, so in comparison, who are or were the men behind George W. that asked the question?

But yes, fascism is not limited to one side, that's true.

  • bush was a left wing failure carried on by right wing wannabes - evangelicals

obama is a right wing failure carried on by left wing wannabes - progressives

  • Beautiful

  • very well done.

  • This was an awesome vid. I love G'Kar's speech at the end.

  • great video however im not a big fan gkars speech but everything else was cool

  • Nice work. 5/5

  • pretty cool

    respect!

  • very nicely done i think it was a great work of art
