  • awesome song

  • Pretty convincing. Yes a bit quicker than the original, but that is no unexpected in a live rendition. NIce voice on lead vocals, was always nice. Looking for "My Woman" or whatever its called!

  • hi poyumat thanks for this i was born in 1952 and was 16 when this song was realeased still think the greatest song ever recorded

  • please please can anyone tell me why has the original video of yesterday has gone been removed from you tube? its the greatest pop song ever written and performed by t rice milton

  • Hi phantomxr. I believe that the full original TV version was recorded by Radio Bremen in 1968 and they hold the copyright to this video. It's typical of Germany to get picky about things like that. Best regards, poyumat.

  • Its back on now mate! Great tune..

  • 15 beats a minute too fast spoiled it

  • Ah well. In those days nobody bothered much with click tracks and as this was more or less the last song of the night, we were all in a bit of a hurry to get it over with and go home. It gets like that after a few thousand gigs.

  • Hi poyumat are you Bob Poole? was Mary and John Curtis your uncle and aunt because they were my grandparents. Dont think l have seen you for a long time it would be nice to hear from you. Kathy

  • ...but despite squeezing that into 500 characters. I have great respect for musicians and would love to hear you play, but perhaps under Cupids Inspiration Mark 2. best wishes

  • Hey discdon.

Let's put it like this. You inherit your dad's car and over the years you replace worn out parts to keep it on the road. Would you then agree that it is not a vintage car worth lots of money any more? p.s. Love your tea making video. Was that original water you were using?

  • Yes, but no one in the band sang/played on YHG? I see many old bands - they've always got a couple of originals who were in at the start/played on the hits. There was TV concert by the Byrds once but the only guy I recognised didn't join until after the hits/good albums. Not The Byrds and I wouldn't have paid good money to see 'em. If you keep replacing the worn out parts of an antique chair when is it not the orignal chair and becomes a reproduction ...or even a 'tribute' chair!

  • Come on! The real lead singer! That was T.Rice Milton and he must be over 60 by now. I remember they played at our school dance 40 years ago - just before they had the hit. I doubt there are any originals in the band now. Sorry, poyumat, I think you've gotta have at least one original member...

  • Hey discdon, how old do you think we all are now? Terry was the singer for a few years. 3 of the guys on the video were in the band over 20 years. The singer on the vid still does occasional Cupids gigs. Means he's been there for 37 years.

  • Yep, that was the real lead singer, no doubt about that, he has a voice that is very diificult to emulate. Shame that they faded away this song was brilliant!

  • somebody please upload the entire song! I was born in 76, however, my mother used to play this song... she really loved it! she'd transport herself back to 1968. thanks a million.

  • This brings back memories. Now I know who they are. A big hit this in 1968.

  • this is not the real band ,just a rip off version..they were at no 4 in 1968,,,the real group are on the other german video

  • Sorry, wrong. Over the years members changed. I joined on bass in 1971, the guitarist a year earlier. The singer in 1969 and last original member, Roger Grey left around 1975. This is a normal transition of members and not a rip off group.

  • I just loved this song. This was the very first record I bought so glorious memories... and I even named my first pet Cupid after it.
