Thank you so much for this grat vid. As a fromer US Marine it warms my heart to see a great American and Marine honored as such today. God bless you and keep up the GREAT work. Semper Fi
I'm with you on this Lonny. We must respect these men and woman who fight for our rights to be and have our voices heard. Obama has NO RIGHT to say he's not in it for Victory. How dare this man disgrace our BOOTS ON GROUND! I pray that these patriots haven't heard these terroristic remarks coming from his fraudulent mouth.
Thank you again for your video and Rest In Peace John Baseilone
Thanks for the video and the reminder of what these guys went through to defeat a formidable opponent in the Japaneese forces. As we approach almost 65 years since the end of WWII isn't a shame that many people today know hardly anything about the tremendous sacrifices made in this war. My own Father was an officer in the US Army and was a part of the Normandy invasion in France. As a young Lt, he was dropped off in choppy waters close to the beach. Thanks again.
Barry Hussein Soetoro wants wounded soldiers to pay for their own medical treatment for wounds incured in battle, then has the balls to say they're selfish for not wanting to.
nice parade I love all our vetarens, its sad to see them pass but they live on in spirit and there tales and memorablia, this is a great parade honoring a great soilder and citizen, my uncle is a ww2 vet lovely man.
Thanks for sharing this. I love patriotic vids. And you are so correct, we need to go out of our way to let our soldiers know how much we appreciate them
Great video, motivating. I only see one thing wrong, the high school playing the Marine's Hymn. I am in the Marine Band, that high school doesn't know what that song really means.

SEMPER FI, just a question, there is man who is CMH Recipient from Ohio, name Anthony Stein, I thought he had woon his CMH then went back into combat and was killed @ Jima Volcano Island. I am probably wrong, but from what I was told, I thought he was one of the few that went back into combat.
checotahkid I looked it up. Cpl Anthony "Tony" Stein had been killed before he recieved. Part 1: Cpl Anthony "Tony" Stein, was a 24 yr old tool and die machinist from Dayton, Ohio, and veteran of Guadalcanal. He was with 5 MarDiv/A Co/1 Bn/28 Mar at Iwo. He'd salvaged a lightweight .30 cal machine gun from a downed Navy plane, on one of the islands, and broke it down into his pack. He put it together as his "stinger", making a lightweight weapon with a high rate of fire*.
Part 2: As A Company moved out from Green Beach, Stein suppressed a Japanese pillbox with his machine gun, allowing Sgt Merritt M. Savage and Cpl. Frederick J. Talbert to use demolitions to destroy it. They continued this all the morning of D-day. After taking out the emplacements, Stein removed his shoes for better mobility, helped a wounded Marine off the beach, then grabbed all the ammo boxes he could carry. he made that trip eight times, each time bringing back a wounded fellow Marine.
Part 4: Tony Stein went, and along with Captain Aaron G. Wilkins and 13 other men, fell without taking the ridges. For his actions on D-day, Tony Stein was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor, posthumously.
checotahkid: We can never thank those who put their lives on the line for us and our great country enough. Those that have paid the Ultimate Sacrifice must always be remembered. The kids in school should have to take a class in High School and learn about those that have protected our lives and freedom and brought freedom to countless millions of others around the world.

Part 3: He continued to employ the stinger, tho it was shot out of his hands twice.
On the evening of D + 2, he was wounded by shrapnel, self-evac'd to the beach, and was back in the line 3 days later.
1 March (D + 10), Capt Wilkins of A Co asked for volunteers to flank Japanese positions that looked down on 1st and 2nd Battalions on 362A.
