@dangkoen - At the risk of sounding like a wack job - a few of the Astronauts have indeed been heard from - and it's some astonishing stuff. Look up Edwin Mitchell, Gordon Cooper, Buzz Aldrin for starters, and then there's plenty of retired Military, Pilots, etc, people that are about as upstanding as you can get...it's where my skeptical self started and now...just WOW. :-)
The Moon landing was indeed not a hoax. The only problem is why haven't they returned since then? Or have they in secret? Why haven't we heard from Neil Armstrong or the other astronauts since? Maybe they found something on the Moon.
@dangkoen we haven't returned because no one has yet developed a method that isn't incredibly expensive, and the Cold War justification is gone. The perception of unjustifiable expense caused Apollo 18, 19, and 20 to be cancelled even though the hardware was already built. This may have been perceived as saving money but in hindsight they only saved a few tens of million of dollars of incremental expense of flying that hardware.
One thing I find consistant with the conspiracists on this subject,is that they all seem to have the I.Q of a houseplant.They become so passionate about the conspiracy idea that it becomes a part of who they are,and to be proven wrong would take away much of their identity.They become well versed in their retardo deluxe rhetoric,and just refuse to have any common sense debate.They often get ugly about it ,and resort to name calling.You can see this trend on related sites

If we did this in the 1960s with old technology, lets do it one more time, now, with out current and advance technology. This would put the end to if it were ever done or not. that would be the simple answer to all.

@mrcomedy454 its because it is filmed through a camera. A camera has something called exposure. If there is a really bright object like an astronauts in the foreground the background will be black. That is also the case today when you see footage from the International Space Station and space shuttle you still dont see any stars.

I go to the moon every night. I imagine being blasted into outer space and do fly bys of the moon and the planets. I'm working on other solar systems, but they don't seem as real. Walking on the moon is fun. A bit dusty, but a lot of fun.

When you see the blatant airbrushing and distorting of pictures coming out of Nasa and JPL about Mars. We were getting around 1 pic a month? This is not true. Any flexible material has internal friction. In other words, the fibers of the flag or arbitrarily small, contiguous sections of the flag rub against each other. The REAL conspiracy is that NASA edited video and photos to hide evidence of aliens on the moon. During public transmissions between Apollo astronauts and mission control, they seem to be using certain code words that supposedly refer to aliens or alien spacecraft. Many astronauts have talked about that off the record, and it's one of the reasons why no human being has been on the moon in over 35 years.

@mrcomedy454 its because it is filmed through a camera. A camera has something called exposure. If there is a really bright object like an astronauts in the foreground the background will be black. That is also the case today when you see footage from the International Space Station and space shuttle you still dont see any stars.

I go to the moon every night. I imagine being blasted into outer space and do fly bys of the moon and the planets. I'm working on other solar systems, but they don't seem as real. Walking on the moon is fun. A bit dusty, but a lot of fun.

Have you ever considered a mixture of both truths? One is that we did get to the moon and the other is that what pictures and movies we were given were fake? When you see the blatant airbrushing and distorting of pictures coming out of Nasa and JPL about Mars. We were getting around 1 pic a month? Get outta here, they are taking hundreds and thousands of pics a week. We get one and its smudged and such a low resolution that it looks like the rover has a webcam for a camera? Somethings wrong!

This is not true. Any flexible material has internal friction. In other words, the fibers of the flag or arbitrarily small, contiguous sections of the flag rub against each other. The kinetic energy would be release mostly as heat. The flag is not a perfectly elastic object. As far as I know, the only perfectly elastic system is the collision of atoms.

The gravitational force of the moon is 17% of the froce of Earth's gravity. If Armstrong with his gear weighed 250 lbs.on earth , that would make him weigh 42 and a half lbs. When he jumped and pulled himself up on the ladder with the same strength in his arms and legs , but now only working against 43 lbs , he could easliy jump 3 or more steps.

The moon landing wasn't faked in a studio. You people are believing in the wrong conspiracy.
The REAL conspiracy is that NASA edited video and photos to hide evidence of aliens on the moon. During public transmissions between Apollo astronauts and mission control, they seem to be using certain code words that supposedly refer to aliens or alien spacecraft. Many astronauts have talked about that off the record, and it's one of the reasons why no human being has been on the moon in over 35 years.
