The thing is, most small business advertising doesn't work, and blends the advertiser into the crowd more than making them stand out as a solution. The top 5% stuff, direct response and national consumer, would never talk about their company or themselves. The stuff that delivers ROI has always been about YOU, and helping YOU. Small businesses simply do websites and advertising that keeps them small. It's basic cause-and-effect. They don't want to risk standing out.
I am just building up a community for videogames for a project which I have to present at my final exam. Your videos fit really nicely. It's awesome that you share this information for free (I can imagine that you could make a lot of money with it!) Greetings from Austria, your accent isn't too horrible btw :P
Absolutely wonderful video series so far. I appreciate your viewpoints and your method of delivery. I'm looking forward to learning more about your philosophy and product. Thank you.
Unlearn... cool. I'm going to quote you when I speak to the Wisconsin Floor Covering Association in October (I'm in Washington DC) and I've told many flooring people to forget what they know about traditional advertising. Social media is not a direct-link to $,,, but it's a solid loyalty builder and that's cool. Am I on-track with that? You, mon amis, are going to help me not sound like an idiot. This is very cool and I appreciate what you are doing. merci beau coups
I would like to get my website out to as many people as possible. I have started by pasting it into my video descriptions --all 31 of them! I hope you send me a message I could really use some empowerment.
Great Tips Loic! Love the dont sound like a press release & obsessed w/ fans--that would be me. I see people w/ 10k plus followers & sometimes get envious
very interesting post. Keep it up!

Great tips.
-unlearn your marketing communication skills
-it's about trust and being friendly
-your style should be conversational, like having a lunch
-don't speak like a press release or marketing brochure
-don't speak about your product
-talk about the space
-don't talk about you!
-don't be obsessed about numbers (of followers etc). quality over quantity.
