  • Looks more like the New York Guardian Angel look.

  • ...oops - it was October 24th, 1981 (not 6th!! doh!)

  • Don't know if this has been posted already, but this is from Oct 6th 1981 CND march - I was there and saw The Jam live (on the back of the lorry)

  • ace, u r my hero!!

  • if he had played this at live aid he would have nailed it, and you know what kids it wasn't ABOUT YOUR DEGREE AND HOW MUCH IT WOULD COST YOU IT WAS ABOUT RIPPING THE WHOLE F*CKING SYSTEM DOWN, ah that's better, night night.

  • Paul Weller is on record as saying he grew to dislike Red Wedge because he saw through the posturing of the future New Labour class traitors who staffed it, who just wanted "the youth vote" to kickstart their sordid little careers and grab the levers of government ... very true and just another little reason why we need vote reform in 2011 for a start, to drag this country into the 20th century (21st Century would be too ambitious).

  • kids dont go on to the streets anymore, the spoiled genaration get all they want handed to them, all we did in the 70s - 80s was fuckin protest, the bomb thatcher killin towns like mine, was alright if u stayed in south east the rest of us got fucked when she dies they should hang her in a cage for crow food. bitch

  • do you think he still supports the labour goverment even tho they have totally fucked our country up..

  • No he doesn't.I read somewhere that he refused them permission to use one of his songs in 1997 election.

  • So he sussed out the fascists before they started implementing their attacks on freedom.

  • @SIMONHATELEY and now the goverment are just really started fucking us all up god and propper maybe weller was saying something with the album wake up the nation

  • I think I was there and I think it was 1981.

  • Funny, 'cause I always had Weller down as one of the better dressed characters of the '80s.

Mind you, being stood next to Foxton's mullet must have made him look a tad cooler.

  • @SmithersJones87 must have returned back from france with that look- which i think is cool regardless! wellers a style icon besides being a legend songwriter!
