@MGinSF in the film about it (which I recommend) it shows that, like any good club player, he was trying his best to imitate King Cole as best as he could
naturally it wasn't an "influence" that he was eager to shake off, y'know

This is Uncle Ray during his Nat Cole phase. He sounds just like Nat here. Great clip.
