@montelturtle If you are going to hatch more than 10 Triops, I would recommend 10 gallon size tank or larger. You can raise 2 Triops per gallon, but it is better if the tank is bigger.
What were the creatures on 3:02? This is a very nice vid and is this how you raise and breed your creatures and then sale because I've seen your site and on ebay?
Great video. I would like to state that Arizona Fairy Shrimp is the BEST source for on-demand live foods for fish and amphibians. Truthfully though, much of their stock makes very interesting pets all on their own. I am in process of building an AFS "vernal" tank just for my own enjoyment. If you are a hobbyist or educator, make a purchase on their site. You will not be displeased.
What were the creatures at 0:37? I recently tried raising Triops but they didn't hatch; instead, I got little transparent white, round things that looked like the things in the video. They swam like copepods, but were round like daphnia, without the "arms"
@pVVENx They are just hatched fairy shrimp and clam shrimps. But, the creatures you found were called 'Seed Shrimp', you can see them at 2:59. It is the most common creature in nature pools.
@reebocken I use fresh water to hatch the shrimps. Drinking water, distilled water, spring water, aged water, rain water... except green water or aged too much as algae growth. Thank you.
I bought a little kit from a shop close to me. I think there were 20 eggs or something and 8 hatched. 1 dies later. I used mineral water from a spring in Germany. If you get this question later on, you can easily say yes - mineral water works just fine. Thanks for the answers friend.
I bought your desert family an they hatched in 1 day thank u so much! But one of my newly hatched ones is black? What is it? And how do I collect eggs. My email is gamemastet12320@yahoo.com

What do you feed them? I was told to give them yeast but it seems that it's killing them. I was going to try egg yolk next.

@jesmmifs I feed them yeast when they are young. Please try to use small amount of yeast.

@Map10193808 That is not hard, you can raise them together if there is enough food for triops.
