I watched Meatloaf perform this way back in 1978 at the Colden auditorium at Queens College, while a blizzard was going on. When he sang "the snow is really piling up outside" during 2 out of 3 Aint Bad, everyone went absolutely nuts. When he sang Friday, everyone was...surprised.
ummmm... if you guys read... it says the Vocals are done by David A. Scott. He is an 80's music lover. He also did a literal version of meatloaf's "anything for love". but he is not meatloaf.
It amazes me how this version made it seem like a really nice song. I'm not just saying that because the original was...bad, but besides the mediocre lyrics this sounded very beautiful.
wow, that was actually really impressive-i was all ready to hate on this because i love meatloaf so much and hate friday so much, but i am very impressed-kudos
I'll be honest, you did a wonderful job catching Meatloaf here. He's a great artist with wonderful voice talents. Rebecca Black's voice is just painful to hear in my opinion and autotune did nothing to help her. You definitely made this song tolerable.
@davebautista1 I asked Alissa to do the version that she played on piano, but slower, and in the vein of "Heaven Can Wait", one of my favorite Meat Loaf songs. I should have someone add strings someday, LOL. Thanks for watching!
Lively discussion here. My two cents: The song (and video) is both good and bad, hilarious and catchy. It deserves the laughs, the parodies, and the snark, but should not justify personally telling a 13 year-old to kill herself, or assuming (with any sincerity) that a rapper is a child predator. I produced this parody with affection for all artists (RB and especially Meat Loaf), and am happy for anyone who finds it funny, stupid, or even sentimental. It's a little of all those things.
@dascottjr people can really only soulfully hate her video as much as any other weird pop song sung by a slightly oblivious silly teenager, which is..... almost all of them? it is pretty horrible that people tell her to kill herself, i dont even understand where that comes from. this baseless hatred shows alot about the internet community. i truly dont understand why the rapper is there, it doesnt really explain.... he just shows up and starts singing in his car.
I want to find the owner of Ark music, have sex with his ugly-ass wife, run over his shitty laptop with my car, and cut off his tiny dick with a spork. That is what this horrible song makes me want to do. It is not cyberbullying- it is how normal people react to shit. How many people do you know that step in dog shit and go "I'm so glad i stepped in this dog shit, it is a wonderful representation of the hopes and dreams of that mutt's asshole"?
@tommike65 In USA a young teen committed suicide from repeatedly being cyberbullied and bullied at school over a course of a few months and also tormented on facebook. She was told to kill herself and to die. There is a huge problem with cyberbullying that's becoming an escalating problem, so much so that teens believe that bullying is just showing criticism. They lack remorse for their actions and they are completely void of empathy, so that calling a female a whore to them is okay ect.
Of course they aren't doing it as a joke. Meat Loaf was around when we ourselves were young adults, so we know his style of music very well. Some songs i liked some songs i didn't like, but he certainly sings this song really well and we can relate to it. It's just a shame the teens in this generation cannot relate to the lyrics, yet seem to relate better to cyberbullying and there social life involves social networking and harming others.
It's interesting how all the cyberbullies have found there way in here to mess up a video that was being enjoyed by many. There is nothing illogical about cyberbullying. It's becoming a very huge problem in USA, so much so that teens and young adults of today, lack any remorse for their bad actions and have no accountability for what they do. They show no guilt, but tend to blame other's for their cruel words, to take the blame off themselves.
@Barfetta3000 Many of us can relate to Meatloaf as many of us grew up with them as young adults. However the teens of today have great difficulty at relating lyrics to themselves, or relating a singer to the voice of another singer, that sounds the same. It's the same problem teens of today have in relating 13 year old boys acting out that of 18 year olds. It doesn't compute with the bullies of today.
