if your gonna do a cover version then you have to do something radically different from the original or make the original even better. you don't do either unfortunately.. your voice is good like but eddie readers is miles miles better and the original music sounds better than this is as well

I'm a caberet singer and am often requested to sing this song... hence my decision to stick it on here.

I would love it if you would check out a couple of my other songs... 'Song For You' which is an original I wrote and also 'Naive' which I have covered in a different style. Maybe these will be more what you aer looking for.

@6billiondeaths By definition a cover is as close to a replica of an original song as is possible. And singers cover songs that are good and therefore almost impossible to make better. No one does a cover of a crap song that's easy to improve on because no one listens to crap songs and if they do something radically different than it ceases to be a cover. You just don't get what's was going on here do you?

@Mayortwilleger - by whose definition? a cover's general definition is a reproduction of someone else's song - as far as i know there is no dictionary definition stating that it must be as close to the original as possible, in fact the most inspired covers are generally different from the originals...

@Mayortwilleger - i cite "all along the watchtower" as jimi hendrix's version is not only totally different from dylans but miles better in my opinion. "hallelujah" by jeff buckley originally by leonard cohen is another example. no one covers a crap song?? Travis covered "hit me baby one more time" and made it sound decent. Outkasts "Hey Ya" was covered by a ginger bloke (sorry to him cant remember his name) and made it sound beautiful.

That's the trouble with 'Big Brother'. YouTube removed the most cracking historical footage by Deed and Duane Eddy doing a studio recording of I'm In Love with the Son of a Guitarman, real collector's piece. Who's going to dash up to the shops to find a non-findable piece of historical video? No point. Sad ol'music rights gargantuans.
