  • intense good job bra

  • how do you get your toms to sound like that!? electric?

  • Yep, you can't see them that good because of the camera angle but I'm using Roland Vdrums.

  • Great job!! I like your real cymbal setup amongst the V's. Blessings.......

  • Fuck lead singers and guitar players....DRUMMERS ARE HOT!!! hehehe : P

  • hey, what amp are u using?

id liek to get one, sounds nice.

    message me back please..

    thank you, Jim

  • awesome but toms sound too electronic

  • Thanks for the kind words all. It's hard to believe this video will be two years old in October 2007. Audioslave rocks!

  • Very, very nice. Impressive!

  • So far you are the only drummer to get this song right. Everyone else is missing the ghost notes. Great job.

  • Dude that set is awesome, you did good :)

  • It's true, I don't play a groove like Wilk. Chad Smith is another awsome groove drummer who I love to listen to. I've always enjoyed playing to Peart and Copeland because they are very technical drummers with lots of fills to remember. But I play to songs differently than I would if I was the drummer in the band. I would never add those fills if I had recorded the song. I think his drum track is perfect and is just what the song called for.

  • It's hard to follow another drummer and be dead on. Every drummer will swing in and out of time just a bit here and there. That's what makes it sound real and not like a machine.

  • i find rods are easier to play than regular sticks.

love the dennis chambers cross stick dbl ped thingy sounded and looked great.

  • dude you rock

  • ill buy that set off of you.

  • yeah man the new cymbal pads on the td12 and td 20 are better, but you sound good how you are, i wouldnt spend the money

  • I appreciate the nice comments everyone. I hardly ever play anymore. This video was made after not playing for about two months. I have back problems so it's not easy for me to sit on the throne and swing my arms around like I used to when I was in my 20's.

  • Some nice playing there and ok you went out of time a couple of times but so what. Great stuff since you were making life harder for yourself using the old multi-rods cause you don get the same rebound from them as you do from sticks. I realize its to use the a-cymbals though but you did well using them. How do you feel when you move back to sticks?

  • Yes, I am using Hot Rods and they are harder for me to play with. I hit hard when I play and I switched to those because I was afraid I would break the vdrum heads like I did the TD-7 hi-hat pad. Regular sticks feel awkward to me now and it takes me time to get readjusted to their feel.

  • The good thing is, the hot rods will make you work harder which will build up your muscles more so that when you do go back to sticks, and get use to them again, your arms will be fitter. I would not worry about sticks on your pads as I have a TD-20 and a play pretty hard aswell but these mesh heads are designed for it. They dont last for ever but mine are still great after two years gigging and I work as a drummer so I am gigging several times a week.

Looking forward to some more videos

  • Thanks very much. I used the electric cymbal pads for a long time. When the hi-hat pad finally broke after about 4 years of abuse, I ditched them all. I would like to get the new roland kit because of the upgraded cymbal pads. I tried them at Sam Ash and they have a very nice feel.

  • You're good, but why does everyone on youtube feel the need to use acoustic cymbals on an electric kit?

i think the electric cymbals sound just and good if not way better than any acoustics, though your set-up sounds great.

  • Not everyone. I would not dream of using acoustic cymbals with my TD-20 cuase there is just no need but then thats just a matter of prefference. There will always be, or at least for a long time, things you can do on acoustic cymbals and drums that you cant do on electronic stuff so I guess its comes down to personal needs as well.
