@nobodyzsukey it's consistently dissociative, this becomes a 'habit' so to say.
You should really try knowing what the fuck you're talking about and look up some statistics before you try to correct anybody on something you don't know about.
I have DID with selective dissociative amnesia.
'dressing the part' has absolutely NOTHING to do with DID and NOWHERE does any medical study EVER say DID presents before age 8. Mine was caused by the events of my childhood throughout that age, but it
@nobodyzsukey is to 'dissociate'. What you've said that is true is that though our minds implore this defense mechanism, it doesn't make the abuse less real. Most cases of dissociative disorders also present dissociative amnesia to varying degrees and of varying natures.
Consistent trauma, depression, anxiety, or w/e it is causing the mind to dissociate results in constant imbalance and thus, constant/regular dissociation. As the mind matures and develops further, if it's in a state where it's
@nobodyzsukey You don't know wtf you're talking about.
To sum it up, any time you go through trauma and experience things such as depression, anxiety, etc, it causes a chemical imbalance on your brain. The presence of some substance that causes that symptom. Adolescent minds are not fully developed or developed enough to correctly handle (or 'break down') those chemicals as an adult mind would be able to.
The adolescents reaction (in some cases, but not all) to the presence of those chemicals
love the video but try giving the personalities cooler names next time guys.i like how its not all silly like other student videos, because theres really nothing funny about mental illness.
Okay I know this is "acting" I rread tghe info still, whats sad is the represenettaion of a "therapy session," looks, sounds and is "coaching" on Therapists anmd wifes part Are you basing this on text books and other video docudrams and is the depictedDr Schumacher ( the same as DID and "life coach from "Rochester New York?) just looking for explanation of the "coaching in session" the text was good Peace Blessings Maria & Mosaic gang
No, you ae fine. I aplogize for being overly sensitive. The video is just fine. If I had taken the time to read the description I would have understood better. Truly, my apologies.
The condition is real but the people in this seem like actors to me. The "therapists" voice sounds like the woman narrating the video. And if they are acting, that isnt cool. I have D.I.D. and I'm a little bit offended if they are just actors doing this.
@raechilll I have DID with selective dissociative amnesia. I'm not offended by this video, but I just wanted to state it doesn't matter how many classes you take or what degree you have in what, you're not equipped to tell this 'story'.
You lack 4th dimensional thinking / objective experience of dissociation.

The description of the video states that we are indeed acting it out and starring as different people for an Intro to Psychology 1 class.
It wasn't our intention to offend anyone, especially as we based it off a real DID case.
