It's interesting that most McCain supporters I've met have yet to define an affirmative position for McCain. Most focus on anti-Obama arguments, which are usually non-factual. Even Sen. McCain fails to make the case for why we should vote for him other than that Sen. Obama is the Scary Other. Sen. McCain's missed a great opportunity to define a new direction for America - if he ever had a clue.
Good ole' God fearing, red blooded Christian American here. I never gave Obama a chance until the Palin pick exposed McCain's weakness in simplistic judgment. I ain't the smartest person on earth but Sarah Palin is dumb with a capital D. After McCain picked her I started looking closer at his standings on several key issues, the Iraq war, health care, the economy and even his temper. Obama just seems to have it all more together. In 39 years of voting for the first time I'm voting Democrat!
Anyone supporting McCain on these boards voted for Bush twice. EPIC FAIL.
And for those of you who don't read or watch TV other than Fox News, McCain admitted on Larry King that Obama is not, in fact, a socialist. What else does his campaign have without that ridiculous lie? Game over.
U sd attempt to get informed before posting. Several non-partisan fact checking groups have disproven the assertions that Obama is getting money from Iran. And, who really cares if he changed his mind about taking public funds? If your candidate had done this u wouldn't mind.
Who knows where you came up w/ your point #2 and your point #3 doesn't even make senes. Re: point #1, Yes he wants to withdraw, but it's not like he'll just bring troops back w/o tho't for the consequences.
Obama's a smooth talker & PLAYS at being a moderate. But he's LYING through his teeth. He too close to radicals like Rezko and Auchi Odinga, Ayers, The New Black Panther Party, La Raza, Farrakhan, & how could we forget NO,NO,NO NOT GOD BLESS AMERICA...GOD DAMN AMERICA, the so-called Rev. Wright. Obama vigorously defended Wright at first, then dissed him ONLY when he realized he would lose votes. I trust Mccain much more than Obama.
How can u trust McCain more? He's a chameleon. He used to stand against his party, until he lost the 2000 primary, after which he started kissing up to Bush. Now he is using the same tactics as Bush because he doesn't have anything to say on the issues that resonates w/ voters. Hopefully enuf of us have come to our senses to understand these tactics. And, btw, it's Palin who has spoken at the rally of a political party that advocates Alaska seceding. Which ticket has the real radical?
You make many assertions yet provide few facts, so your position is weak at best. I'd rather have a President who is capable of hearing multiple viewpoints, even if he/she disagrees with them, than one who is convinced that he has all of the answers. We have one of the latter and we see how good that's been for us. Besides, the associations you mention are mostly false or loose connections. Finally, you provide no reason to support McCain other than that you don't trust Obama. Weak argument.
Obama has been redefining the middle class since the start of the campaign. First, he said your taxes will not increase if you earn below $250,000. Then his ad recently said, Families earning below $200,000 will not have tax increase. Then Biden said in an interview, people who earn below $150,000 will not have tax increases.Recently, Bill Robertson said, middle class earning below $120,000 will not have tax increases. Democrats think we are dumb. This trend of redefining middle class is dumb.
Republicans know you're dumb to keep voting against your self-interest. What's the tally so far? Expanded Executive Branch, willful violation of the Geneva Convention, unnecessary and costly war, record budget deficits, alienation of allies, weakened negotiating position with Russia, inability to effectively react to Iran, acceleration of income gap, politicization of the Justice Dept...shall I continue? Four more years of this ineptitude? I think not.
Why doesn't everyone stay with the issues that concern us rather than fund raising and the baloney about contributions coming from Iran. I think the American people have had enough of the spin. I am an Independent and at one time was eager to vote McCain in. Since I have heard these kind of statements, it makes me sick and I am having second thoughts.
i'm fine with your anger against a candidate and with your comment here about giving me one star for not allowing your previous post. what i'm not fine with are comments that implicitly approve or even just mention someone being taken out by someone else. I assure you all comments that don't promote violence are welcome. if you want to take that one line out of your last post, my nonpartisan self will definitely approve the rest of it. thanks.
obama's redistribution of weath MINDSET will do two things:
1) hurt ability for small business and large business to ADD jobs
2) KILL the dream of becoming successful and make USA more socialist like SWEDEN
oBama will cost JOBS and increase JOB LOSS.
VOTE mccain.
