  • long live joe

  • really amazing. the clash rule!

  • great job........

  • the change from "This is Radio Clash" to "Radio Clash" at the middle, it was brilliant!

  • Thanks a lot!

  • miss the old times square! getting a cheap cheese burger and watching the freaks pass by!

  • Yep, back when Times Square was XXX central.

  • Yeah, it was fun back then, especially 42nd between 7th and 8th, my favorite block.

  • well done ... thanks for the memories

  • Simile a Another One bites The Dust

  • già, dire simile è poco... [Andreas ;)]

  • Hey dudes! "Another One Bites the Dust" is a funk-rock song that ripped the bassline of "Good Times" by the Chic. "This Is Radio Clash" is a rap, dance-punk song influenced by the Sugarhill Gang and Grandmaster Flash & The Furious 5! They were the first white band to record a rap song, "The Magnificent Seven", jointly with Blondie's "Rapture" (that is 2/3 rock and just 1/3 rap).

  • This is not rap...This is Punk...REAL PUNK..Only reason it sounds liek rap is because rap stole all the stuff they do from every other genre of music......and Blondie is just a sell out...lol

  • @djpixie84 Agreed!!! This is REAL PUNK!!! Not that ripoff rap crap!!

  • Hurray! to THE CLASH thats all I can say

  • Really good work my friend! A genuine version of the original one! Congratulations

  • Thanks amigo. Strummer was my hero for years, he still is. I got to meet him briefly in NYC, when he toured with the Pogues in 1991. Got his autograph and told him I really liked the soundtrack he did for the movie "Walker". That meant everything to me, to chat with him for a second. Glad you liked the video.

  • Ahhh...my apologies...Great video! :)

  • Hmmn...That doesn't look like Jessica Savitch...just one of many blonde "news-clones" that many stations put on the air after she went national at NBC.

  • Actually it was Jessica Savitch. I filmed her off the TV, from NBC Channel 4, in New York City. We didn't have cable TV back then so we got our handful of channels from the major networks.

  • BTW, Jessica is the one with the word Poland onscreen behind her, not the other one with the word Poughkeepsie onscreen.

  • Yeah, this tune has always been a big influence on me too. Nice footage. When did you edit this together? Recently or a while back? You seemed to have been interested in capturing a similar feel to the official video. Btw, where did you get the additional verse on audio? Cool.

  • Thanks Stomach17. I made this back in 1983, splicing Super 8mm film, had it converted to VHS in 1988, then digitized it last year. Yeah I definitely wasn't shy about making it a tribute/copy to the Clash's video version. The original 45 and 12" club versions of this song had the alternate version, where I got the other verse. Thanks again.

  • Thanks amigos, I really appreciate your comments. The Clash were the coolest and still influence me to this day.

  • Eh?

  • A very good video !!! Muy bueno

  • KICKS ASS!

  • MUITO BOM!!!

VERY GOOD!! You maked a excelent video... CONGRATULATIONS!

  • Thank you very much, guilleguitz. I'm glad you liked it.
