I think people glorify the book way too much. I wouldn't exactly call it a classic, not to say it was bad, but it wasn't as good as the Authors TPOBAWF intended to shadow.
A agree with fewbew6, The Perks of Being a Wallflower is pretty much impossible to capture on film. The book was so moving, it made me think so differently.

He was an introvert. I'm an introvert, too, which made the book easy to relate to. You're exactly right, he wasn't "emo" whatsoever. Just an introvert in touch with his feelings.
He wears button ups a lot. He watches, but he doesn't show that sadness. He keeps it all in his head. When it breaks out, it is beautiful. He is not a sad person. He is growing. I'm not too sure about this...
i agree. i didn't picture him as emo, i just pictured him as a regular looking kid who had a different way of looking at the world. i thought of him as just quiet. this probably doesn't make sense like at all, but i kinda pictured him as the kid from little miss sunshine only looking differentish. haha yeah that doesn't make sense but whatever
why give him a label when it gave him the style of a strait edge kid (average not much style who doesnt commit crimes or do drugs) while he has the attitude of an inspirational writer and the tendencies of a delenquent?
wow, i think you did a GREAT job keeping this near the book. i loved the book and you did a wonderful job keeping the themes the same. :) p.s. what music is this? i like it. :)
