Hi Ivan, I just play classical pieces for fun, so I wouldn't take this at face value, but as far as I know, guitarists are at liberty to use alternate fingerings at any time in the pieces. This includes for playing melodic runs more smoothly, or for tonal differences. Here, I found that playing it higher on the neck gave a warmer tone that I preferred. I would check with your teacher for examinations, but it should be allowed.
(The same goes for making picking hand positioning decisions for different timbres. I highly recommend watching AndanteLargo's videos. Peo is a master of choosing hand positionings to change tonal quality!)
