Shizuka's name reigns ironically true to her type and quality of figure skating. Shizuka is japanese definition of "quiet' or 'peaceful' She has a serene beauty yet, is very powerful and surprisingly artistic. She is not an explosive force like the athletic Midori Ito, or the violently fast, Surya Bonaly. I am very surprised by the calm nature of this very talented figure skater. I also love Shizuka's name as well.
