  • Aww - thanks for sharing - and such an adorable budgie. He understands French Canadian more than I do and I took French for 6 years in high school. Great going - love the little finger hand shake. You can tell he loves you and is such a good budgie.

  • Thank you for your kind comments, dalsch: with your menagerie and family obligations, one assumes you don't have that much time for socializing on You Tube! French is Babi's (human) mother tongue, and English his second (human) language, therefore it is his ENGLISH that you should compare to your FRENCH! LOL!

  • He is the poster birdy for the budgie world. So adorable.

  • @bowlingballout: We're pleased to know that our finding him absolutely adorable is not a fiction of our imagination!

  • Bravo Babi ... toujours aussi adorable ! ;)

  • It was one trick but in two languages. That should at l least count as two tricks.

  • @erra404: So, doing the same trick twice is only one trick, but doing the same trick in two languages would be two tricks? Hum... I'm not convinced... LOL!

  • Aw, nice hand shake.

  • @Thagirion9: Looks innocent enough, and Babi now has it down pat, but actually very "tricky" to teach. At 6, Babi is the master of step-up and he jumps on your hand or finger at the slightest movement towards him. Teaching him to stay put as I bring my finger to his foot was a BIG hurdle. LOL!
