How do you blend your colours with a knife? I find I always need to use a soft brush of some sort.
Please don't think I am being picky, but wouldn't it have been better to have the wave direction pointing towards the focus of the picture, i.e, the Sun?
Just a thought, because you are clearly an accomplished artist.

I tend to paint on a much smaller scale outside or more commonly in water colour.

Funny that you should mention watercolor. It's the medium that I started in plein air years ago.

I'm using a palette knife with oil paint, it doesn't work so well with acrylic. I have never mastered using brushes.

I use oil paint which allows me to blend and blend without worrying about it drying too quickly.
