  • A friend of mine passed away last night. He wasn't a soldier, but he was a great guy. He always had a smile on his face and he always had a kind word to say. I worked with him and it's going to be hard at work not seeing him or talking to him. I'm going to miss him. And I'm proud that I knew him for as long as I did and that I had the honor of calling him my friend. RIP Chris!

  • GREAT SONG TIM. WAYNE FROM TORONTO.

  • I love this song! how many forces families have actually gone through this? British forces american forces doesn't matter, they all protect their respective countries. without holidays, thanks to them all.

  • How many men and their families did the government destroy, for what? What a tragedy that these brave and heroic men actually thought they were dying for our freedom, as though illiterate sand monkeys are a threat to the US. My thoughts are with all the families and men whose lives will never be the same. God bless.

  • @Automedon2 ..volunteer Army. Live with it. They do. You're welcome

  • I first heard this song today on Dancing with the Stars US (just screening here in NZ) The dance and the music made me cry. Very beautiful.

  • how can anyone dislike this? Thats an insult to anybody that has tio write their equivalant of this letter and i don't even have a word to describe how insulting it would be to someone who received it - unbelievable

  • Love this song

  • I'm not much into country music but this song has no barriers or category for how much it means to so many people, not just me. REALLY POWERFUL.

  • I'm at a loss of words

  • this is for all those who fought and died for the freedoms we have god speed

  • This is such an awsome song. It not only makes you think of the soldiers that have gone but of family and friends who did not serve as well.

  • I'm speechless this song takes my breath away ..the tears are flowing ..

    GOD BLESS ALL OUR TROOPS!!!

  • 31 lost, 31 unwanted visits, 31 doors receive that dreaded knock, 31 families with shattered hearts, 31 pairs of boots lined up with rifles and dog tags and helmets, 31 comrades remembered and grieved for, 31 funeral services, 31 names on newly made grave markers, 31 empty places at the table, 31 souls who gave all, whose lives leave a void, so let's take 31 seconds to re-post this and pause to reflect on such a sacrifice as 31 gone forever. God Bless All Those Families!

  • @starcrest3 Thanks for the chills :]

  • My heart felt thanks to all of our military and God bless you and be with you and to the ones currently serving may God go with you. For the ones who have served in the past not a day goes by when I am not reminded and thankful of the sacrifices you have made for this country and for me.

  • Please, please, come to Albany, Georgia, cause this is one middle aged Black woman who would stand in line to see you any day, what an amazing singer!

  • I dont even like country music and I like this song.

  • one of the Best songs of Country I think, Happy 4th of July, USA USA USA, My Sympathy goes to all the families who has lost a hero to the wars.

  • no....not really...that means there in hell.

  • @raffertyraffraff34

you have no morals, and should really learn to think before you open your stupid mouth. the only one who should be in hell, is you, for saying the most sacrilegious thing. "the ones who arent with god are in hell"? seriously?!

  • great song!!!!

  • there's a solid chance im responsible for at 500 of the views of this amazing song.

  • wow.....amen,god bless those who are with God and those fighting for all of us,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Fact: Good will always defeat evil.

  • @raffertyraffraff34 and what of those people who arent "with god" you dont care for them?

  • @raffertyraffraff34

If its that true, so how could die over 6 mil. people in the 2nd. W.W. ? How could die milions of people on hungry every day? Why the god not care about them? They arent inicent, are they? So, when you will say this, use your mind.

  • amazing tribute to all of the fallen heroes.one of the best songs i've heard.

  • A nation of well-informed people who have been taught to know and prize the rights which God has given them cannot be enslaved. It is in the region of ignorance that tyranny begins. -- Benjamin Franklin

FACT: Evil exists. And its chief aim is to debauch innocence and enslave it.

FACT: Good exists. And its chief aim is to preserve innocence, and protect it.

    Pick a side.

  • Fitting that I should hear this today...Thank you Trish for posting this link, and we honor your brother Chief Warrant Officer 2, Pilot In Command, Bradley Justin Gaudet, killed in Afghanistan on Saturday, June 4, 2011, for the ultimate sacrifice he made for our freedoms. I know it wasn't a very happy birthday for you to learn of your brother's death, but we loved him as a friend, a brother, a son, a husband, and a father, and we will see him again one day. RIP Brad

  • i luv this song my dad used to be in the army i am so proud but he is out now and i am proud of the other soldiers out there they are fighting for our country our country is blessed for the soldiers here now and the soldier that have past away, god bless

Not a day goes by when I am not thankful for the sacrifices that these men and women have made to insure our freedoms.

  • Awesome! God bless all of our soldiers and their families

  • fuck.

  • ya yall better not dislike this

  • After two deployments to serve this country, I appreciate my fellow soldiers who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. I will never forget. GOD BLESS THE USA!!!!!!!

  • So I noticed there are 130 likes and 0 dislikes for this song...thats awesome, if anyone does dislike this song, they're LOSERS! : )

  • Very good.

  • WOW

  • ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!

  • отличная душевная песня!!! excellent, perfect, the son` just from the heart!!!

  • This song sounds like it came from the heart. I hate fake Toby Keith.

  • If you STILL don't break down in tears everytime you watch this you are dead inside.

  • It's so hard for me to listen to this song, especially when my boyfriend of almost two years is deployed to Afghanistan right now. But, this song is so beautiful, and as sick as it sounds, it actually helps me realize that anything can happen over there.I am very very grateful for what he does, and the sacrifices he makes each and every day he is enlisted.

  • @MissTexass1 god bless

  • This song makes me cry...I can just imagine.

  • INCREDIBLE!

  • i wonder how much they paid Kansas to use a likeness of dust in the wind.. when he says lay me down.. he did that in indian outlaw he use part of a cher song.. damn good song though

  • See, now this is a good song regarding the war. And not that stupid Toby Keith crap.

  • What is up with everyone Blaming Israel for September 11th? I am not pointing fingers at any one countrie but I will admit we were cought with our pants down that day and I dont believe that we should have been over anywhere.

  • Not one brave united states soldiers should've died in these unnecessary wars, Afghanistan nor Iraq attacked the US on September 11, 2001. Search; " US military knows israel did 9/11" and learn the truth, only the truth can set us free. God Bless the Families that lost someone in the wars. Our nation is no longer ours, "We the People" we've been hijacked by bankers since December 23, 1913 and openly taken by force on November 22, 1963. Let's take back our country, Ron Paul for President 2012!!!

  • @doomsdaypreacher You're out of your MIND to think Israel was to blame for 9/11...That Israel VS. U.S.A. propaganda is complete shit...We will ALWAYS defend Israel, because they are our holyland. Want to know WHY we went over there? Simply: RETALIATION. I am PROUD of our soldiers. They blew up two of our buildings...but you know what? We blew up two of THEIR countries. Amen.

  • simply an amazing song I am an active service member when the lord calls me up to meet him I want this song to be played at my funeral.

  • INCREDIBLE !

  • As an Active Duty Soldier I have seen him perform shows twice. Many people don't know, but he performs dozens of FREE concerts for Soldiers. He performed this song at the concert in Fort Sam Houston, TX and there wasn't a dry eye in the house. Soldiers giving him name tags and dog tags to say thankyou for remembering us. Very moving. SFC Dennis Morris, U.S. Army, OIF 09-11

  • @cruitersbmc that is so great for him to do that for u guys i am so proud of everyone serving my brother is in the army and i was a former military wife and i thank god tohave people like you and my brother serving thank you so much..

  • @cruitersbmc I saw him live free on Camp LeJeune when I was in the Marine Corps in like...'97-ish? He is one of many...Toby Keith comes to mind...who give everything they can to serve those who are serving. our Soldiers/Sailors/marines/Airmen/Coasties need every bit of hope and home they can get. War is a bitter, horrible thing, and anything ANYONE can send to them in the form of thanks/motivation will touch anyone serving in a war. Even if all you send is some baby wipes (true), it will help...

  • @stmichelob And my shift key fails me capitalizing my own branch. Epic fail...lol...about the baby wipes, I know Marines go on week long patrols and have no chance to bathe, and baby wipes are traded in gold over there. All you elementary kids sending a random soldier a letter, believe me they get them, and it is the difference for them. See John Michael Montgomery "Letters From Home". They LOVE hearing from ANYONE; mail call is the best part of their day, so KEEP IT UP! They love you all for it

  • this is a great song and ty tim for doing it, and what it means to the families of the fallen hereo's who are the greatest hereos

  • that is a GREAT song if only people would listen to what it really means thanks tim

  • powerful!!!
