A friend of mine passed away last night. He wasn't a soldier, but he was a great guy. He always had a smile on his face and he always had a kind word to say. I worked with him and it's going to be hard at work not seeing him or talking to him. I'm going to miss him. And I'm proud that I knew him for as long as I did and that I had the honor of calling him my friend. RIP Chris!

As an Active Duty Soldier I have seen him perform shows twice. Many people don't know, but he performs dozens of FREE concerts for Soldiers. He performed this song at the concert in Fort Sam Houston, TX and there wasn't a dry eye in the house. Soldiers giving him name tags and dog tags to say thankyou for remembering us. Very moving.
